"That beggared little bitch!" Shi Ruolan stomped her foot on the ground indignantly with her clenched fists on the balcony before resuming her pacing back and forth in the presence of Fulin who was smoking a cigarette nonchalantly. She glanced at him for a moment before reaching out for the cigarette. "Gimme that."
Fulin obliged her and passed the cigarette to her, watching her expertly inhale and exhale through her mouth, letting the smoke diffuse the air as they stood together in silence. Shi Ruolan inhaled a few puffs before she spoke out anxiously to Fulin. "Hey, help me talk to Tian Kuo."
Fulin scoffed cynically as he retrieved his cigarette and smoked it. "About what? To forgive you after you made out with Haoyu and lied about it? No way, Ruolan."
Shi Ruolan failed to sense the annoyance in his voice and instead sought to persuade him. "It was a mistake and I regret it. I got lonely because Tian Kuo never shows me any attention at all. He would rather spend time with other girls than to date me. Me! Shi Ruolan! What do they have that I do not have in abundance?!"
Fulin ignored her frustrated sigh and exhaled a ring of smoke into the air, deep in thought. He cleared his throat and dropped the cigarette on the ground before he stomped on it. He faced her with a blank expression. "So all you want me to do is to talk to Tian Kuo?"
Shi Ruolan smiled at him and tapped his shoulder. Whenever she needed something to be done, she knew she could always count on Fulin who never disappointed her. "You really know me well, Fulin. I need you to help me with another thing. Here is what you are going to do...."
But while the students in the class seemed to be waiting for the next lesson to begin, some boys seemed to be absent from the scene but they were all gathered in the laboratory in silence. Haoyu stood in the middle of the assemble, biting his lips nervously as he watched Tian Kuo play with a tong in his hand. He looked around and suddenly fell on his knees under the intense pressure that he sensed under his skin. "T-Tian Kuo, please f-forgive me..."
"Why would I need to forgive you, Haoyu?" Tian Kuo seized playing with the instrument for a moment before he continued opening and closing the tong in a continuous motion. The boys around him turned grimmer at his words and glared at Haoyu, sending the poor class representative to a state of fright.
"I didn't know that you two were dating, I swear!" Haoyu reached out his hands to grab his trousers with desperation, his sweat dripping from his temple down to his chin. Since he had started attending this school, he had never been on Tian Kuo's bad side before but now that it happened to him, he knew that at this moment his life was flashing before his eyes and he would do whatever it took to save it. "S-She is the one who seduced me, I didn't want to-"
"Shut up." Tian Kuo furrowed his eyebrows as he turned his attention to the boy at his feet, giving him a ruthless kick to the stomach before he stood and dropped the tong on the table. "You are not only clueless but stupid for believing that I care about your fling with Ruolan."
Haoyu groaned on the floor as he held his stomach, resisting the urge to swear at them but he swallowed all the bad words down his throat as he rolled around to ease the pain. "What... did I do wrong then?"
One of the boys snickered loudly and responded. "It's about the little tiff that happened last week between us and the boys from Tianxin. We all know that you are the one who went to find trouble with them first and then you lied to us!"
Another boy spotting a very bruised eye sneered as he walked forward and delivered another kick to the class representative's abdomen. "Haoyu, you must be born with a lot of guts to pull off the stunt you did last week. Because of you, I nearly lost my eye in that fight and could have died in that fight if it wasn't for Tian Kuo!"
Tian Kuo let the boy deliver a few kicks to the class representative while he lit his cigarette and smoked it. When he had taken a few puffs, he passed the cigarette to one of his friends and said to the boy on the floor. "How many times have I warned you to stop selling drugs to people near our turf? Do you think my words are meant to be discarded?"
"No..no...I made a mistake." Haoyu's heart sank when he saw that they had already found out the truth but he struggled to stay conscious or he wasn't sure if he would be able to wake up once he fainted. He had already heard rumours about the students who dared to cross the person before him and he did not want to be included at all. "Please forgive me, I won't do it again!"
Tian Kuo approached him and bent down on one knee. "The only reason you are still alive is because of your position as our class representative or you would have been gone by now. If this happens again, I will not forgive you."
He stood up and left the room, leaving Haoyu scrunched on the floor behind him as the rest boys closed the door behind him. Soon, screams of agony and pain were heard in the silent hallway but no one dared to venture near the scene. He continued to walk down the hallway about to make a turn when he bumped into someone that almost make him scowl but he managed to arrange his expression in time. "Tian Qi, what are you doing here?"
