CHAPTER 10
GREGORY came back to himself a few moments after the scare:
— Greg, by God — said James Hofma — is everything all right?
He looked at his arm and there was some blood. He took off his jacket and saw that the shot had just grazed him.
— I don't think there's much to it here.
At that moment a car pulled over along with an ambulance that attended to Greg and wrapped a band around his arm.
— It was just a scare.
The senator who had walked in quickly came back in a white shirt and suit jacket.
— I believe we still wear the same size, Greg.
— No need James...
But the senator had already taken the dirty clothes and thrown the clean ones over him, and Greg imagined that those were the two most expensive clothes he had ever worn in his life.
