"Oh! So brave it's commendable," the doll said.
The doll's emotionless face looked at Lorian, and waved his hands. But Rain won't let him do anything, other than fight Lorian barehanded. Rain pointed her wand over her head.
"Aci-dio Smog!" Rain chanted.
The spikes and vines sprouting from the floor and ceiling wilted as the floor was covered in a thin green smoke. The whole ceiling and floor of the 2nd floor were constantly sizzling, resisting the strong corrosion of the spell by regenerating nonstop.
"Fuck off bitch," the doll tried waving his hands, but the wood was busy resisting that it won't listen to him anymore.
The doll looked at Rain maintaining the spell at the back. His hind legs swelled, he kick both feet and propelled himself to Rain. If he's able to bring her down, the spell would be gone and he could easily trash Lorian.
However, Lorian wouldn't let him do as he please. Lorian tackled the doll's body, sending him down to the ground. Without wasting his time, Lorian pounded the face and chest of the doll.
The doll's face and body caved in with Lorian's powerful punches. But the doll didn't even flinched as he kicked him away. Separating his body from Lorian's hold.
"Useless, useless. Are these Sirius recruits? How laughable," the doll mocked.
"Sirius? Who's that?" Lorian asked.
"Heh, tight-lipped are we? Talk to my hand then," the doll said as he punched Lorian.
Lorian couldn't understand what the doll was talking about. But he didn't have time to think, as he blocked the doll's attacks. The punches of the doll were getting stronger and Lorian's arms were slowly turning violet.
Lorian roared as flicked the doll's fist away. He then sent a front kick to the doll's stomach to which the doll grabbed his foot.
"Greenhorn. Tell Sirius to train you more," the doll insulted Lorian.
The doll dragged Lorian's body up into the air. Lorian tried to kick the doll's hands off his foot but he couldn't budge the doll's grip. The doll laughed hysterically as he slammed Lorian around.
Lorian coughed blood. He was being rag-dolled, unable to do anything. With a last slam, Lorian's back arched as the floor shattered.
The doll's caved-in face and chest returned to normal. He walked towards Rain, who was still standing and maintaining the spell. Rain looked at the doll in fear, but she gritted her teeth. She didn't stop the spell, because she trusted Lorian.
Lorian on the ground, saw the doll standing in front of Rain. The veins on his neck popped out. Lorian grabbed the doll's feet, pulling him down to the ground.
The doll's head twisted behind, looking at Lorian in annoyance. "Persistent bug," the doll commented.
The doll fell to the ground. Lorian stood up and didn't wait for the doll to stand. He stumped his foot on the doll's chest. Lorian didn't stop, he kept on stomping that the sole of his shoe printed on the doll's chest.
Yet the doll felt looked at him like he was dumb. He grabbed Lorian's foot which was about to stomp him. The doll spun on the floor twisting Lorian's leg.
"Arg-" Lorian who was about to scream was punched by the doll in the face.
The doll didn't let Lorian rest. He punched his stomach, chest, and Lorian's swollen arms that were blocking his face.
"Remember the name, Kaleb Balagtas. The one who will soon rule this region. The one to rescue Kurydon from that devil Sirius. And the one who will kill you. Hahahahaha," the doll laughed as his right arm started to expand.
The doll, Kaleb Balagtas's arm, expanded at an abnormal rate. Lorian weakly stood, his arms and legs were shaking from the intense pain his body was experiencing. Kaleb the doll swung his right arm to Lorian intending to end his life.
Lorian's life flashed in his eyes, and the memories sealed in his mind resurfaced. But he didn't have the time to recollect. Because this would be his last day.
Lorian closed his eyes, prepared to embrace his faith. However, seconds passed yet he was still conscious. In doubt, he slowly opened his eyes and saw Kaleb's doll body vibrating.
The fleshes and skins from the people he killed were breaking away from one another. But they hovered and couldn't completely separate. Kaleb's face contorted as he tried to resist the invisible force that wanted to tear him apart.
"What sorcery is this? Argh!!" Kaleb struggled, even the floor and ceiling stopped regenerating, letting the corrosive fog to slowly melt them down.
Lorian saw an opportunity. Gritting his teeth, he pushed his body with his single working foot. He arrived in front of Kaleb, grabbing the flesh of Kaleb's chest.
Lorian tried to help the invisible force by pushing Kaleb's doll body apart. However, Kaleb was still able to move his hands grabbing both Lorian's arms.
Kaleb was still able to exert his abnormal strength even though he was being torn apart. He squished Lorian's arms, breaking his bones in the process.
Kaleb's doll face mockingly smiled at Lorian, but he was taken aback. Lorian just stared at his face smirking.
"Found you," Lorian hissed with his gritted teeth.
Lorian found a hovering necklace with a wooden heart pendant inside the doll's chest. His broken arms moved, and his muscles became tense as both of his hands grabbed onto Kaleb's arms. He then used his head, bashing it hard on Kaleb's chest.
Kaleb tried to use his strength to escape Lorian's grasp. However, Lorian held onto him like a clamp. Lorian raised his head, and smashed it into the space between the flesh, burying his head inside.
"No, stop! Don't! Dooooooooo-" Kaleb screamed but couldn't do anything.
Lorian bit the string of the necklace. He tugged his head back, pulling the necklace out of Kaleb's chest. A strong attraction force tried to suck the necklace back but with veins popping out of Lorian's neck, he managed to pull the necklace out of Kaleb's chest.
Kaleb's doll body, which was made of his victim's flesh and skin, crumbled. His voice died out and the light of his eyes disappeared. The black house was no longer vibrating. Blood of Kaleb's victims were dripping out of the house and the once black house unveiled its wall plastered in human skin.
The five wooden dogs were on the side, obediently sitting. Rain came out of the house, her wand glowing in white. A cloud of smoke hovered beside her and Lorian lay on the cloud unconscious.
Rain arrived in front of Pastor Opium. Her hand wearing a glove, grabbed the necklace and placed it on Pastor Opium's book. Pastor Opium nodded as he stood up.
Pastor Opium went inside the house, his steps were irregular. He spit the gum on the table. And with holy water in his hand, he started sprinkling it around. Opening the book, Pastor Opium recited the verses and praying for the souls of the deceased so that they may rest in peace.
The dark clouds looming above them parted. A bright glow from the moon shone down on the house. And tiny particles were shimmering as they all flew above, being one with the stars.
