Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The God of all Elements - King

All I heard around me were explosions and the sound and smell of flames engulfing the area around me, as I walked aimlessly through the burning city.

"A filthy human, kill him!" I heard a man yell at me from the sky above. As I looked, I saw a ball of fire hurdling toward me, I was weak, hungry, and tired no more energy to move. This is where I finally die, I thought. All of a sudden the light of the fire from above had gone too black. A man covered my vision for how close he got to me, and the others man's hatred toward me came to an end. I couldn't see it, but I knew for certain that the one who had cast the fireball was dead, killed by the one before me now.

"Are you ok little one? Where is your family?" The man said

"Huh? I… I am fine." I said stuttering, the look on my face said I didn't know anything regarding anything before what had just happened, the man ended up cutting me off from saying so out loud though.

"Great! I am glad I got here in time. Do me a favor and find some cover. I am going to put an end to this war and then I will take you in."

He had a demanding voice, but at that moment he shined so brightly, and it wasn't long after he said his heroic line that he did take me in.

I did as I was told and found cover under some nearby ruble, I waited for the bright man to come back for me. Eventually, I heard a forceful wind that brought an end to the flames and loudness around me. It wasn't long after that, that the man came and found me again.

"See I told you I would come for you. So what should I call you little one?" He said confused as though he didn't know how to speak to me.

"Oh Umm, I don't have a name," I said almost so quietly he couldn't hear me.

"You don't have a name? Hmm… Oh! then how about Kazuma?"

"Kazuma?" I responded

"Yeah, it means peace, like how the world will be now that the end of the war is upon us… You too can be a symbol of peace! Now common let us go to Tsuchigomori the place that will now be our home."

"What is your name?"

"Huh? Mine? You can call me King, but master also works."

"Master, that sounds nice."

My, tired, skinny human body, was finally given a break, and as I said those words I passed out. "There, there kid, hopefully, you can rest easy for years to come." I heard my master say as I faded out of consciousness. When I awoke, I felt a cold shiver run through my body, as I shot up from my sleep and looked around me in a panic I saw nothing but rocks. About five feet away from me was my master, and a fire that gave a low feeling of heat.

"Oh! You're awake, there is some fish ready if you're hungry?" My master said.

"Huh? No! I want a blanket and to know where I am!" I yelled in annoyed and scared confusion.

"Although I am happy to see you so full of energy, just try to relax. We are at the enterence of the dungeon Chikyū, or rather at the place that I, and you, shall call home."

"A dungeon?" I asked

"Yes, although you are far too young to get what that is, I'd bet you're about five years old or so. But a dungeon is a place where monsters hide, and where adventurers go to fight. But this is like a rest spot, and I casted a barrier so no one will bother us. Rest easy Kazuma."

My master had a kind smile on his face, one that put me at ease. After some more mild chit-chat, and his explanation of this place, I ate some fish and slept some more. This would be the place where I lived my happiest days.
