Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

—They're bullies!

—And what do you want, girl? This is none of your business!

The boy said with a look of disgust and anger at being scolded by me.

—Why don't you go play with your dolls?

I lowered my head as I was clenching both fists tightly.

—Look at her, she wants to cry

said one of them in a mocking tone while approaching me...

—You're just a weak and silly girl... You'd better leave if you don't want us to get hurt...

then I raised my head to look him in the eyes and with a frown on my face

—Who do you think you're calling weak?!

I pronounced while I punched him in the stomach, making him cough and fall to the ground crying.

—Now who's the weak one?

I pronounced proudly and with my fist in my hand.

—And now... Who's next?

I spoke while looking at the other two.

"Come on Alex come closer and you will end up like back then"

I thought as I looked at him.

—Now I remember... You're that little girl from school.

He pointed at me with his finger and face a little scared.

—Yes, that's right!

—Alex do you know her?

—e-eh? Yes

-Is she a friend of yours?

—Of course not!

I answered angrily to such a question

—Then what are you waiting for, teach her a lesson?

"Teach me a lesson... Yeah sure, I'll teach her a lesson so she'll never forget it".

I thought as I looked at him angrily

—tsk... We'd better go, the fun is already lost.

He said as he turned his back to me and the other two went after him.

—Next time you won't be spared!

He said as he was leaving

—Yes, remember that, silly girl!

Pronounced the other boy he had hit.

"Kids sure do bounce back fast!"

As I watched them leave with wear and tear I approached the other boy who was crying.

—Are you all right?

I asked as I approached him to help him up.

—Y-yes

He answered sheepishly as he wiped the tears from his eyes.

I looked at his clothes which were all dirty.

"They sure were bothering him before I even got there, those damn brats."

With fury and anger my inner little self-screamed in anger.

—thank you very much

—no hay....

"Oh, my goodness!"

Was the first thing I thought when I saw the face of the little boy I helped, he had a very adorable face, with that blue wavy hair, that white skin that looked like porcelain and those beautiful green eyes, at that moment I saw that the boy had sat on one of those tall logs hugging his legs to then start crying again.

—Because of those kids, everyone at school tease me and stay away from me.

She said as tears wet her pretty cheeks.

"It must be hard..."

I remembered that I wasn't that good at making friends at school, even if I did sometimes those people only came around to learn some martial arts tricks, but not to be my real friends.

Even when I started working it was the same, adults are usually crueler with their words than children. But by that time, I was used to it and there were only a few people I really got along with, even though it took time it was really worth the wait to have sincere friends like that in my life.

"I'll show this poor kid that not all kids have that same thought about him!"

With that in mind I uttered with exclamation at the end.

—Well, I won't do it!

The boy stared at me in surprise

—Even though he looks like an Omega?

—What's that got to do with it?

I tilted my head as I spoke.

—My mom is Omega and I'm happy to be by her side.

I replied with a proud smile.

"My mom is the best in the world"

I said to myself.

—Or isn't your mom Omega?

—Yes, she is... But this is different, if you hang out with me... You can get picked on too.

—We'll see about that

I said while raising my fist

—If they mess with you or me they will know my wrath.

Seeing the funny posture, I was doing the boy started laughing

—You're very funny...

—Hey? do you think so?

I asked embarrassed with my hand behind my head.

—Yes... What's your name?

—My name is Ameri and yours?

—I'm Dan

-Dan...

"Uhm...I feel like I've heard that name before, but where?"

I wondered in my mind curiously.

—Ameri?

Being called by Dan I reacted to respond energetically.

—Oh, Dan. It's a nice name.

—So, you don't mind being friends with someone like me?

He said closing his eyes pressing his shirt with his hands, apparently he was expecting a negative answer from me, but as you know, I'm not that kind of person.

So, I smiled softly and answered.

—Of course not! I would be honored to be your friend!

Hearing my answer, she smiled at me wiping the remains of tears from her face... Right after that a lady appeared, with straight, dark blonde hair and beautiful green eyes, although she looked a bit pale

"She is a beautiful person"

That's what I thought as I watched her approach Dan.

—I'm sorry Dan, I thought it wouldn't take long and your clothes, what happened honey?

As I was talking to Dan her gaze landed on me.

—Who is she?

For a moment I felt a little shiver run through my body, well it was normal to think that I was the guilty one, I was the only one in the place and a mother is a mother when it comes to protecting her children or in this case son.

—Mom, this is Ameri my new friend and she is very strong!

—Strong?

—Yes! Some kids were bothering me and she defeated them very easily!

"I've never felt so embarrassed in my life!"

I thought as I interrupted Dan.

—Of course, not... I just defended him from some bullies.

The lady's look changed and she gave me a nice smile.

—Thank you for helping my son... My name is Liliana and I'm Dan's mom... Well, you already know that last one, though.

She let out a small laugh.

"it's the first time I've seen such a beautiful woman."

I said in my mind while my cheeks blushed slightly.

—It was nothing, it's a pleasure, Mrs. Liliana.

—Are you alone here little one?

—No... I came with my mother

Then I heard a voice calling me

—Ameri!

—And here it comes... Mom, here I am!

I shouted in the distance raising my arm.

—I thought you were here, I thought you were on the swings, and these people?

—Ah, let me introduce them to you, this is Dan, a new friend and this is his mother, Mrs. Liliana.

—It's a pleasure, I'm Ameri's mom, my name is Eliam.

—likewise, it seems that your daughter and my son became good friends

—Yes sir Ameri is great and strong!

—strong?

After explaining the situation to my mother, he gave me a slight scolding.

—Honey, next time you have to warn someone older.

—But there was no one... So, I had no choice.

—Well, just this once I'll let it go.

—Really?

—just because you helped your friend

—thank you mom!

I gave her a big hug, what I liked the most about my parents is that they completely understood the situation, but there are times when I have to control myself, because I don't want to get them in trouble.

—Well, Ameri say goodbye to your friend... We have to go home; your father must be waiting for us impatiently.

—Are you leaving already?

I ask a little depressed Dan; I really don't like to see him that way... So, I had an idea

—I know! Why don't you come to my birthday party?

-Birthday party?

—I'm sorry if I didn't mention it... Today is my birthday and they will have a party at my house... Of course, if you want to...

—I would love to, but...

I look at his mother so I can ask for permission

—Mom, can I come?

—yes, but... I don't know where you live

—this is our address

My mother took out her cell phone to show him the exact address.

—If you have any inconvenience you can ask Alicia, the pediatrician... She is a friend of mine.

—oh, wow I didn't know that

She answered and then looked at her cell phone

—Her house is just a block away from ours.

—Really?!

—wait, don't tell me you work in that food restaurant?

—Yes...

—my husband and I go there on weekends to eat with my daughter.

—You mean the restaurant? "Bon Appetit" -I asked.

—yes right there

—the food there is delicious!

—I'm very happy to hear that coming from a customer, I work there, I'm one of their cooks.

—wow how lucky you are Dan

His cheeks blushed when he heard my answer.

—So, can I come?

—Of course... But wait for me until I get back, it's okay.

—Yes! thank you mom!

—Thank you very much Mrs. Liliana

—but before I take him I have to do a little shopping so I'll take him later, is it ok little Ameri?

—Yes!

—See you later Ameri

Said Dan saying goodbye and then meet me at my birthday party.

—He's a cute little boy...

—Yes...

—You know your dad will be jealous when he finds out that you're bringing a friend home.

—but, if I have friends at school too, what's the problem?

-None, however... you haven't invited any of them to your party.

my mother spoke in a mocking tone

—Mom!

I exclaimed embarrassed.

—I'm sorry, honey... But I couldn't help it.

She said as she laughed.

As we walked hand in hand, we headed to the car I left parked to head home and get ready to celebrate my fifth birthday!
