"How did you know how to do that?" Benni asked as he walked over to me.
Benni takes the two paper clips out of my hand and studies them. Sinow glares at me as he contemplates what has happened.
"I was stuck in a hospital bed most of my life. I liked to learn all kinds of things. Who would have thought I would have found a chance to use some of that knowledge one day." I skillfully explain.
Benni hands back the paper clips and walks through the now-open door.
"Cool. Let's go." Sinow grins as he accepts my lie.
Phew, that was a close one. I don't know if that excuse will work again. I'll have to be more mindful of them. They might not be as interested in me as their fathers, but that doesn't mean I should let down my guard.
