"Ms. Upton, what brings you here unannounced?" I ask with an attitude.
I want to be mad but from her perspective, she is just visiting her fiance.
"Oh come on Jay there's no need for formalities between us. We are going to be married soon. Just call me Talia. I came to visit you. I missed you. I brought you a gift as well." She says as she brings over a bag.
The bag is from her family's store. Her father owns a few high-end fashion lines and stores. Isn't it a little tacky to bring a gift from your store? I don't care about the gift anyway.
"Oh, thank you. You shouldn't have." I say as I open the bag.
Inside is a box. It looks like it's a watch. I open the box and sure enough, it's a watch. It's an extremely nice watch too. It's made of black silver and on the backside is an engraving.
