The chicken was delicious, and refueled the man. Both of the Necromantix that he ate with were silent, however, and it was obvious that their minds were on the battle and what had happened over the course of the day.
"Only around half of the Skeletons survived." Arianna said at length before tossing a chicken bone over her shoulder. "That's less than what we'd hoped for."
"It'll be enough." Gerald replied with a soft smile. "We survived our weakest time, after all."
"And do you have a plan to get around their defenses?"
"Several, but they all come with risk. Especially for our vampires, Ghouls, and Werebeasts."
"They are willing and prepared for some risk." Rebecca said, her voice lighter and more frail than what Gerald was used to. It was obvious that she had been watching the battle and did not like what she had seen. "Honestly… I just want this finished so we can live in peace."
