Chapter 186 - The True Necromancers' Funeral

Gerald walked around the corpse, his eyes sad on the body. "Lyzara…" He mourned, his eyes looking over the body. Her head was healed over, and the bolt long since removed, but her beautiful face retained the small smile she had held even as she was felled. His eyes watered, but he swallowed his tears and focused his magic. "I… I won't raise you, as you requested of Isadora, but what I can do, I will… May the gods forgive me if I am wrong." He then bent down and, with all the tenderness of a lover, kissed the corpse gently on her cold lips. The kiss wasn't long, but Gerald still felt sad to part from it. "You deserved so much more." He muttered, before he officially began.

He stood at his full height, positioning himself so that he stood near her head, and then he began to sing:

Lyzara…. Lyzara…

Daughter of Tressed, and blessed by her Goddess.

Virtuous, blessed, with beauty and modest.

Guided by love, and by wisdom unmatched.
