"You've got to be kidding me!" Isadora responded as the sun had risen high into the afternoon sky.
"I can't seem to get into contact with Gerald." Lyzara responded, her face glum. "I don't really know anyone else who's in the city right now… do you?"
Isadora thought for a moment but shuddered at the thought. "You aren't going to like it…"
"What?"
"She's a vampire…" Isadora responded quietly, hoping that nobody was listening to their conversation in the main hall, which was mostly empty. "Her name is Hermina Dor, and she's-"
"The one who's land Gerald dragged us off to save, yeah."
"You should keep your voice down." Isadora said, "You know how this town feels towards… our kind."
"They're free to feel that way. We've got the coin, why should-"
"We should respect their culture and their ways." Isadora responded, shooting her best friend a glance.
