As Gerald closed the door, he found himself face to face with the maid from the night before. "Hello Chicory." She curtsied low. "I hope you slept well."
"Yes, thank you master Gerald." She responded smiling. "I thought I was hearing things from the room."
"You were, but you don't have to worry." He leaned down. "I also wouldn't clean up in this room for a couple of days if I were you. I'll have my people take care of it. You can focus on the rest of the house."
She nodded. "I'll let the rest of the staff know when they enter the house later."
"And Chicory…" Gerald called behind her as she moved to leave. "Where are the Lord and Lady of the house?"
"They're at the catacombs." The woman responded. "Whenever there is a death in a Druidic noble family, they stay at the catacombs for a month to mourn or party."
"Party?" He raised an eyebrow.
