Gerald stood slowly, aching from what felt like every possible place in his body.  His breathing was labored, and it felt like she had broken a rib or two in her punches.  She certainly hadn't held back.  She was crying still as he moved, groaning as he cautiously regained his balance.  "I… never… planned…"  He started, slowly.  He stopped his words and finally just got back on one knee, despite the pain, and bowed.  "I'm… sorry… Isadora.  I honestly-" He coughed, "I honestly… never meant… to hurt any of… you.  Least of all… you or… Lyzara.  Especially Lyzara."  He coughed again, the pain getting to him.  The woman in front of him didn't respond, but the tears continued to flow from her eyes.  Gerald just stayed still, hoping that his breath would catch up to him soon.  He didn't want to cast any healing spells on himself.  That was for those who worked at the temple here, and they seldom made house calls.
