Chapter 25: Monster [III]

Author's Note: There's mistake about the kilotons issue. it's supposed to be tons, I have now realized. We don't wanna see a human punching a Kaiju like a ragdoll. Thank you for pointing that out, readers. MC is now a superhuman capable of lifting and equally dishing damage of 5 metric tons.

After arriving before the enormous gates of the Jaeger station, I adopted a wait and see approach.

I was a disciplined and respectful guy, after all. It wouldn't be good if I suddenly barged into someone's turf without even knocking. I hadn't even bothered to give the CCTV cameras pointing toward my direction any attention. I was on my best behavior.

Meanwhile, my mind wandered off to a random thought centered around knocking doors. Ah, how my mind is always surely lively.

'Knock Knock' was a movie I had watched during my early teenage years. It had the theme of eroticism and degeneration so I really couldn't 'ignore' it. The hormones during those years were usually all over the place and I had been one thirsty hormonal teenager.

Keanu Reeves really did his part well as Evan, I internally praised the man known to many as John Wick.

Any man in his prime would have found it really hard to resist two young and beautiful women's lethal seduction, especially when they are already naked and conditioned for 'pro-creation.'

Men were simple creatures, after all.

Evan did eventually succumb to the lust and a hot threesome was actually an irresistible deal.

How could a married middle-aged man resist the vigor, softness, and curvy bodies of two vixens when his wife and children weren't at home? I wondered while smiling under my helmet.

The darkside… degeneracy… adultery… such temptations were always sweet.

After enjoying the threesome, sure, the post nut clarity could never be missed and Evan was hit by regret and was forced to send those ladies on their way as it should have been done from the start.

Sadly, those two were women on a sinister mission - they were predators of married men, temptresses designed to make even a faithful man fall into the abyss of sin.

Then just like that… things spiraled out of control and Evan's life was ruined by a pair of pussies. Well, your life would surely be ruined if videos of your infidelity were posted on none other than Facebook, a platform with billions of users and you would never miss millions online everyday.

You will totally become a celebrity that can even rival pornstars, I chuckled lightly.

Women were really dangerous creatures, a complex species unlike men.

And that's why I have never ever had the thoughts of settling or going through the long term route. Practically, they would have just inhibited my work progress and slowed me down. But that didn't mean that I was… a eunuch or… gay. I was all for a consensual agreement over short-term hot sex and be done with it. No strings attached.

"This nice scent. So it comes from the two." I subtly sniffed at the air surrounding me.

Wow, I had been so lost in thoughts that I had forgotten that I was carrying two ladies with me.

"Hmm, I haven't been around women ever since I was transmigrated by the Weaver," I grumbled at the fact that I was now overly conscious of the strong feminine scent emanating from the two.

"Anyway, it's understandable. You just can't casually defy biology. The body always wants what it wants." I shrugged to myself.

'Maybe I should just take a chill pill, a break from being holed up in the base for a very long time.' I mused with a cheeky smile on my face.

Beep! Beep!

The sounds of alarms blaring jolted me back to reality as the doors in front of me started to slowly open, then followed by the echoing sounds of footsteps.

I could hear it all even amidst the noisy alarms.

Emerging from the door was a group of 30 military men armed with M16 rifles being led by their supposed leader who was confidently unarmed, Marshal Stacker Pentecost.

Their 'toy' guns were readily aimed at me as if just awaiting that one command from their superior to shoot the very life out of me.

I could smell the tension and apprehension in those soldiers - their fear oozing unnoticeably from their beating hearts.

Was I that… threatening? Or was the vibe of my suit so… menacing?

Ah, I now understand.

The group then stopped at a safe distance away from me. All of them then started staring at me cautiously, their eyes shifting between me and the two unconscious bodies on my shoulders.

Marshall Pentecost also stared at me keenly as if analyzing and trying to measure me up.

His dark meticulous eyes didn't falter even for a second.

Honestly, it felt like a cowboy showdown when the constant howls of cold winds blowing between us.

I felt like playing with them.

I pretended to walk forward. And surprisingly, all of them also took a step back, clutching at their M16 rifles tightly and shakily. As for Marshal, he took a brave and unyielding stance which was quite the opposite of his loud palpations of his heart.

"D-Don't move, or w-we will be forced to shoot!" A random soldier shouted in a stuttering voice while his index finger was dangerously hovering mere inches away from the trigger.

"Soldier, stand down!" Marshal Pentecost backed an order at the terrified soldier.

I silently watched in amusement.

Had I already become a monster that could casually cause mass distress and fear to my fellow humans?

That inner question in itself felt redundant. I have always been a monster in both soul and... body..

I decided to cease my minute-long cheekiness and say something or else those soldiers will be overwhelmed by their fears and shoot 'accidentally.' After all, fear was a very strong emotion that could overrule rationality in man.

"I am an ally. You can clearly see that I saved your rangers from an imminent death at the ocean," I said silently in the most calm and benevolent voice. Like a saint.

Surprise and shock showed on their faces but they were still on guard as they took another step backward.

It was as if they didn't expect me to be capable of normal speech.

Did they maybe expect me to spout some Kaiju language?

"There is no need to be hostile towards a fellow human. Ah, aren't the Kaijus our main enemies?" I said casually and my words seemed to have resonated with them. A little bit.

They didn't trust me. Yes, they shouldn't.

I didn't need their trust, anyway.

"Or what do you think about what I said, Marshal? Do you think it's reasonable?" I then looked at Marshal Pentecost. Although he couldn't see me through the helmet, my gaze was sharp and intentional for him to notice it.

"Tell your men to stand aside or things might get messy really quickly. Violence isn't the only way to settle this."

If he was a smart leader, then he would know what's best for them. I expected him to make a good choice and the little toys that they were still pointing at me, was starting to get on my nerves.

"Soldiers, do what the man said! Remember he has our rangers. That's an order!" Marshal Pentecost shouted and waved his hand downwards.

Though reluctantly, the soldiers followed what their superior had decreed.

Marshall Pentecost narrowed his eyes on me. "I don't trust you, just so you know."

I confidently took slow and steady steps toward him. "You shouldn't trust a stranger. Isn't that what parents tell their kids?"

He frowned at my blatant sarcasm but still remained unmoving.

Soon, I reached in front of him. My robust figure, easily towering over him.

I think I noticed his eyes twitch in slight inferiority.

"From the sound of your voice… it seems that you know more about me. Am I right?" Marshall narrowed his eyes while seemingly trying to peer through the layers of materials hiding my face.

I chuckled lightly. "Don't you think these two need medical attention?"

"The medical team, ASAP!" He looked behind him and then turned to face me afterwards as his orders were being relayed.

"We have a lot to talk about...Mister," He said with a hardened, serious expression on his face.

"Yes, we have." My lips curved into a lazy smile beneath the suit.

'After all, you have a miserable fate.'
