[Congratulations! You have been rewarded with a x1 Newbie Starter Package]
I nodded my head with a gloating expression on my face.
"Hell yeah, that is what I am talking about, babe."
[I am not a babe, host. I am an artificial intelligence designed to govern over the system's functions and help you in any way possible.]
[I have no definitive gender so...]
I groaned exaggeratedly at the words of the System's AI. "Then stop being such a killjoy, DUDE!"
[I am not a dude]
I waved my hand in dismal fashion. "Then let's put off the meaningless conversation and go straight to what I need."
"Open the Newbie Starter Pack." I rested my laced fingers underneath my chin while my expression hardened in anticipation.
I really hoped for something good.
Something phenomenal.
[Understood.]
[Opening the Newbie Starter Pack!]
[Congratulations, you have been awarded with the following gifts:
[+ Advanced Neuroscience knowledge]
[+ Advanced Material Science knowledge]
[+ Advanced Computer science]
[+ Advanced Generalized Mechanics]
[+ Cool Jaeger 'Obsidian Fury' Mecha design and Blueprint]
[+ 10 billion dollars]
___
I couldn't help but whistle loudly when I saw the rewards from the newbie starter pack.
"Although my first free rewards aren't exaggerated like those of those main characters that casually get an infinity gauntlet, I am not that disappointed."
"Advanced knowledge... I am drooling."
My eyes then brimmed with maddening fascination. "Obsidian Fury's Mecha design and blueprint!"
"Not bad."
Then I turned my attention to the last reward. "10 billion dollars, hmm."
I hummed softly. "It won't be enough for my plans but there's always a plan B and C."
"Money won't be a problem when I put my plans into motion."
I would be lying to the whole world if I said I didn't have an interest in Jaegers and Kaijus.
Jaegers were giant robots while Kaijus were extraterrestrial giant monsters.
And both of those two were so huge and heavy but still capable of outstanding feats.
Square cube laws couldn't be applied to them since they exist in a fictional reality which doesn't run on real world physics.
Now, I had the means to create those giant monstrosities.
Then suddenly, I had an epiphany.
Something clicked in my mind.
I felt the jigsaw puzzle complete itself inside my head.
Advanced knowledge...
The intricacies behind the designing of Jaegers required highly rich knowledge in Material Science, mechanics, modern physics, Neuroscience, and Metallurgy.
Material Science was a field that integrated physics, engineering, and chemistry together. It was a pretty broad field with its roots branching off to other subfields of learning like Metallurgy.
Metal Alloys are the best option when dealing with Jaegers and Metallurgy will supplement my Material Science knowledge.
Mechanics was pretty much self-explainable.
Neuroscience also played a pivotal role in the Jaeger Project. This would surely help me in developing my own neural drift system. A perfect one without side effects whatsoever.
There was no way in hell, as a transmigrator, I was fucking going to allow anyone inside my head.
So it would be expected of me to delve deeper into a Solo Pilot Program.
What I needed to do at the moment, was to receive all that knowledge.
Then I thought about another problem associated with knowledge integration.
The knowledge would have to be etched deep into my neural network and it was going to hurt like a bitch.
I have read too much junk to stop my mind from overthinking about such scenarios.
But just to make sure...
"System, will receiving the knowledge hurt me in any way?" It was better to ask and get a heads up instead of my ignorance biting me in the ass later on.
[Probably host]
[And just like you have said, it is really going to hurt like a bitch]
Wow, can you at least sugarcoat it instead of being so cruel, oh dear?
The system AI seemed pretty ruthless this time and I swear I felt its happiness in my misfortune.
"Then let me lie down in my bed first." And I proceeded to drop myself on the soft mattress.
I then tightly grasped on the edges of the bed in anticipation.
"Begin."
[Affirmative]
[Transferring all the knowledge rewards to Host's mind]
"Aaargh!"
"Fuck, fuck!"
The bed rattled under my intense grip that was now trying to break the hard mahogany wood.
My jaws were clenched tightly while my teeth gnashed madly against each other.
It was fucking painful as a lot of repetitive and incomprehensive expletives escaped from my lips.
It's good that the knowledge integration only took a minute but to me, it felt like an eternity of hellish pain.
"Shit, I don't wanna experience that again." I grumbled while forcing myself to climb off the bed.
In my hands were little wooden splinters created from the pressure of my grip on the bed.
And I sadly smelled of sweat.
I needed a cold bath.
"Oi System, will I be experiencing this kind of pain everytime I gain new knowledge from you?" I asked with my face scrunched up in annoyance.
[Yes... unless you boost your physical attributes to peak human levels]
"Oh the old good grinding it is," I said dryly while deleting all the clothes from my body and entering the huge spacious bathroom.
___
A few minutes later, I was already finished and clad in casual sweatpants.
I preferred walking around the house shirtless.
I felt free or is it that I liked my broad and muscled hairy chest all out in the open for the world to see?
There was one time in my previous life that I would go all Eden while chilling in my house... Whelp, that's a story for another time.
I took it slow while inspecting every inch of the house.
It was well-furnished and habitable.
It also had an underground basement, huge enough to be a warehouse.
It was just perfect.
A little bit of automation here and there and it will be a standard environment for my ideal workshop.
By the way, I forgot to explain that I was dropped in San Francisco and my house was located in its suburbs, deep in the bay area.
I couldn't help but sigh helplessly. "San Francisco Bay, the first victim of the first Kaiju attack."
"It's good that I have a period of my own preparations before the city gets ruined by Trespasser and nuclear bombs."
"That huge ass Kaiju really spelled doom to the unprepared humans."
But it simply had to happen.
Tragedy and hardships builds character.
And fear was necessary for humanity's evolution.
"And Precursors..." I paused while my scheming mind started to think about these ancient extraterrestrial entities responsible for creating the ugly monstrosities named Kaiju.
It seems a lot of things need to be put into consideration.
There was truly a lot to be done with development of projects and commencement of experiments awaiting my initiative.
