"ERM,what are 'night demons ' slovasi interrupted
He received no reply from Grandpa Ben so he just sat quietly and acted like he wasn't present there.
"So my family ran some series of test on the two 'night demons ' and make a huge discovery by accident ,they got to know that the 'night demons' could die from exposure to sunlight but they found out the hard way by accidentally leading them in chains towards the town square. Losing their murderers, they had managed to gain a little information on how their deceased murderers attacked their victims. It was noticed that the two 'night demons' both have a set of long canines protruding from their mouth and blood seemed to be their food or their essential nutrient to stay alive. They decided to dig into some old history on when sightings of the 'night demons were first known. And in their course of investigation ,they stumbled across an old legend which talked about a king who made a deal with the devil in exchange for his soul to get power in order to defeat the neighbouring kingdoms and in the end the king got the power he needed but in order to survive he had to drink the blood of others. The king's new form allowed him to be fast, strong and also turn others to be like him ,in order to be immortals and strong . But legend also continues that Apollo, the god of the sun decided to curse him for making a deal with the devil by causing the sun to be his downfall and he could only move at night and not during the daytime.
And he was named the king of 'vampires' which is a term used by the gods to refer to demons who drank blood by Apollo. The name of that king, who I bet you already know ,madam to be ....." He asked
"Dracula" I answered
"Yes,you're right madam ,so with the news of the 'night demons' now known as 'vampires' to have existed before ,my family decided to hunt for more vampires in order to understand how to become immortal without thinking of the part where you have to drink blood in order to live. The obsession of immortality seemed to drive my family insane and they managed to capture seven living vampires and they begun to experiment on their genetic make up ,trying to understand how they're able to be immortal and when they finally understood it . They tried it on their selves but not my entire family was happy about their experiment so my family got divided into two groups, the ones who wanted to experience the gift of immortality and the ones who considered it abnormal and demonic. My great great great grandfather was with the family who wasn't happy about their work decided to move his family to America before it even had its name and he changed our family name from Bolzwatka to Franklin in order to cut ties with his previous family."
The sound of Slovasi phone was heard ringing,he excused himself and went out to answer his phone.
"All these information I got from a journal of my great great grandfather ,When I grew up I became obsessed with my family's old journals and I joined the American army in order to visit my former homeland to investigate on my own. Upon my arrival, I discovered a secret that my former family had started experimenting on the townsmen in order to create a super army of strong and immortal soldiers which would be given to other countries to help them win wars and battles. With their full knowledge on how to create vampires, they decided to take a giant stride to create vampires not affected by the sun and in their attempt they created artificially manufactured vampires who had a strong resistance to the sun's UV rays and could walk in the daylight more like a human much better than the previous vampires. And this experiment was headed by my distant cousin, who I presume to be a vampire himself now the general of the Russian army under the name of General Boltzwatka." He said while continuing watching outside whether Slovasi was around.
"The reason why I'm telling you all these information,is because I know who you are and what your mission is in this town. The army unfortunately know of your arrival, that's why they sent that man 'Slovasi' to impersonate the real doctor and so you need to be careful around that man and if I am killed somehow,in my hut is a cabinet filled with journals on how to defend oneself from vampires and how to identify one .And this is the key to that cabinet, protect it with your life because all the information to help in your investigation is in the journals I have written for the past thirty years in there". He said while he handed me a key.
I couldn't understand why he would tell me all these on our first visit but was glad he did, because now I had a lead on the investigation.
"I'm entrusting this information to you don't tell anyone not even your superiors, the army will try and have you murdered if they have Intel of you leaking this information to the public" .He said while nodding at me to look outside.
I saw Slovasi talking to an army official, who was presenting to him an envelop probably containing money.
Just as he was done collecting the envelop,an army truck drove to where he was and a handful of soldiers got out and stormed where we were , taking Grandpa Ben away.
When I asked ,a soldier with the name Peter on his badge in Cyrillic writing approached me.
"Madam,we are following orders to have this man sent to our headquarters". he said while pointing at Grandpa Ben
After the procession had left,Slovasi decided to enter and pretended to ask why Grandpa Ben had been taken by the military. I wanted to slap him but I restrained myself from showing any signs of me knowing he was working for the military as a spy.
"They just told me that they were just sent as per their orders from the top".I answered still unsure why he would ask in the first place.
He begun to pack his medical equipment and decided to inform me to also pack.
"Since my patient has been arrested,it looks like our work here is done so let's head back to the town".He said
"I guess so ".
The journey back to the town wasn't exciting as how we arrived here, the thought of what the old man said concerning the information of vampires and experiment written in his journals seemed to trouble my mind.
