Iris had this strange dream, she saw Cane came to the carriage. His face looked very sad, it hurt her heart to see him was so crestfallen, as if the whole world had come crushing down on him.
However, he questioned her about how much he had hurt her. Iris even could feel the pain in his voice when he asked that. She didn't like it when he was in pain, but she was also hurt by his action. In the end, she could only hold onto him.
She wished this dream would last a little bit longer. She really missed him…
"How is she?" Cane asked darkly at Grace, who just finished checking on Iris.
"Her fever has gone down," Grace said with relief.
"What about… the baby." Cane clenched his jaw when he asked this. His eyes looked very sharper and darker.
"The baby is fine," Grace replied. "I think it's 'babies', because the luna referred the baby as twins."
