It didn't go unnoticed by Cane when Iris blushed, but he couldn't figure out the reason behind it. Oftentimes, she would have a strange response to some things and at that moment, he simply couldn't understand what was in her mind.
"I will wait here," Cane said, as he took a book and sat down on the chair near the door. He wasn't really interested in the book, because the content could be so different from reality and now Iris was aware of that too, but still it was a habit of hers to read something because it gave her joy.
"O- okay." Iris stumbled over her words, as she immediately skipped to the further row of the bookshelves.
This place was not too big, there were only five rows of bookshelves here and the book collection must not be on par with the one they had back in the pack house, but Cane noticed there were a few old books here titles of which almost couldn't be read anymore, the kind of books you shouldn't put on sale.
