Iris woke up when she heard loud growls and snarls, followed by the door being slammed open as five to seven warriors poured into the room.
She immediately covered herself with the blanket and sat down, but her attention was on the door. Those warriors were dumbstruck in their tracks upon seeing what was going on inside.
Once Iris followed their line of sight, Iris screeched, she quickly covered her mouth with her hands when she realized that Cane just ripped a beast's body. He twisted its forelimbs and removed them from its body. He threw its hindlegs to the floor, while his expression turned malice.
He did all of that in his human form, one could only imagine how strong he was to be able to fight a beast without shifting.
Iris watched Cane's side profile and when he tilted his head, finally noticing that Iris was awake, she could see how his eyes had turned so red.
