Lu slouched his shoulders upon hearing their harsh rejection of his brilliant idea. Why could they accept Cane's opinion and follow his every order blindly, but wouldn't even consider his at all?
"Why not?" Lu looked at Iris sullenly, because she looked so mortified when he suggested that, even though this idea would benefit her as well. "You don't want to have a child with me?"
Once again, Iris was not sure how she looked, but she didn't want to look at her own reflection in the mirror right now. She knew it wouldn't look great.
"You don't even like those people, so what's the problem here? Instead of getting rid of them and wasting such good resources, it will be great if we can make the best out of them."
"By… sacrificing them?" Ethan asked foolishly, as he was too shocked to hear such an idea coming out of Cane's mouth, despite knowing it was not their alpha who was voicing it.
