Chapter 301 - BEAR MEAT

The conversation lasted until evening, Cane and Koda even skipped lunch, therefore, Iris was also still in the orphanage because Cane didn't give an instruction for her to leave alone.

When they finally ended the conversation, the sky had already turned so dark because the sun set faster in winter. All the dark corners of the building were being illuminated by the fire from the braziers and the luminous pearls.

However, in the yard, you could hear the sound of children still playing. It was not well into night yet and they were still full of vigor.

Their joyfulness intrigued Cane to go closer and find out what they were laughing about, but a little child ran toward him and almost bumped into him if it were not for him stopping this little girl in time.

"I am sorry," the little girl said. She was around the age of seven. She looked scared, terrified Cane would get angry at her.
