"We will go on a ride?" Iris blinked her eyes, if they were going on a ride, it meant they would go somewhere far. "Where are we going?" She thought Cane asked her to have lunch in the dining hall.
"To the city," Cane said lightly. "You have not seen it."
This was the first time for Iris to be in the capital city and when they went out before, it was not for sightseeing.
"Oh, okay." Iris was thrilled that Cane was actually taking her with him to the city.
She didn't mind if he did this because he was concerned about the dark wisp that would make an appearance all of a sudden, forcing him to take her almost everywhere, or if he was taking her out just because he wanted to directly see the chaos in the city. She didn't mind it at all.
The fact that Cane included her and involved her in his plans made her feel she was part of something. This sense of belonging made her heart warm.
