As Jack and his crew set sail, leaving the island of the Reverend Insanity, the robed figure watched them go with a manic gleam in his eyes. He had watched them grow in strength and power, and he had used them as characters in his own grand narrative.
The Reverend Insanity revealed as he spoke to something that only he could he that he had no interest in the fate of the Britox Empire or the freedom of the Southern Sea. He was using Jack and his crew, as well as the other individuals with powers, to tell the most entertaining and captivating story ever. He wanted to see how far he could push them, and how much they could achieve with their powers.
He knew that they would face many challenges and that most of them would not survive. But that was all part of the story. He was interested in observing the results and learning from them. He would continue to watch from the shadows, manipulating events and guiding his characters towards a grand conclusion that only he knew.
