"How about we start with, 'not trying to die' first" says Cal while fiddling with her fingers, and her voice strict as always. Everyone nods hastily in approval. Only Sorin builds up the courage to ask Damian what everyone in the room wanted to ask him. About Avyanna. He starts with, "What about Avyanna, the only way to keep alive is to stay away from her-" he looks at Damian, there was both the looks of understanding and the ones of 'you are wrong'. "-She almost killed me, and that means that she really does not want to be found. I love you Damian, but I think you're belief was wrong about her." Damian's eyes have a pinch of hurt in them as he had really thought, that even though Cal thinks that he is really stupid in Believing that Avyanna is innocent, that Leon is just supporting Damian because they have a very good bond and that he may as well just go away one day or the other, he had never thought that Sorin could ever even think about something like that, let alone say it, and believe it. Damian throws a painful glance at Sorin and says, "You know I never thought that you out of all people would say that." Sorin purses his lips, his gaze is moving here to there, then he finally manages to spit a sentence out. "You were wrong Ian, and it's time you know that, before someone of us actually turn up dead." It was so fast that Damian barely understood it, but he did, it was so clear, and so straight. For Damian, finding Avyanna and getting closure, was the most important thing in the whole world, because, one of his loves killed the other one. It was true he loved them both with his life, and that he would die for them, one of them was dead anyway, and he didn't want to lose the other one as well. This was the last thing he could do, even if it was the very last one that he would do. Damian's throat was dry as he swallowed, he wanted to say a lot of things, things about how he had hoped better out of Sorin, but he couldn't get them out, wouldn't ever be able to get them out. Only thing he did get out was a grunt, and nothing more.
But before the situation could get out of control, Leon handled it well. "Damian I think you should tell what should happen now as it is your quest. We have no right whatsoever to decide for you," As Damian was sitting in between of both the boys, Leon grabbed his hand firmly, as he saw that it was shaking. And then continued, "We can only decide for ourselves, and only you can decide for you. Do it." Leon's eyes were considerably warm and understanding for a detective who saw bodies, and catched criminals for a living. He started to caress Damian's hand softly but in an urgent manner, as he knew all who were here, needed their answer if not wanted. He could see Damian's lips shivering, Leon thought that Damian won't be able to say anything, but after a moment he did, Damian pulled his hand out and rubbed them on his trousers, and started, "I know what you all think, but I still think that there's more to this than just," he waved his hands, as if pointing at something in the air, "this, you all can go if you want, but I won't stop, it's as if I can't. I'm sorry, I won't stop." He stands with a jerk and bangs the apartment door on his way out.
Sorin was afraid for Damian, but more than anything, he was afraid that what Damian said was true, there was something more to this than they were saying, at the very least he knew that there was something hidden in the truth that they all believe so blindly. He wanted to go and talk to Damian, that maybe this was dangerous but that maybe what he says is right, maybe he could now tell Damian about his dreams, about how they have been consistent for the past month. About how everytime, he feels that there is a veil, hiding something, hiding some important truth. He wanted to tell him all that, but then his burns were still hurting, and his body was still weak, being a werewolf, he knew he would heal fast, but it still was not fast enough, and he needed to rest plenty, as the doctor had said, so he, with the help of Leon, went to his room and rested, because he knew he was going to do something, after which he would not be able to get rest, so he did it now, sleep came easily to him, regardless of all the troubles in his mind, maybe this was God's sign for him to go ahead with what he wanted to do.
Outside, there was silence, Leon and Cal just sat there, without a single word. Cal was just considering to leave, and go get a coffee, or something, but just then, Leon spoke, "I think we should go get some coffee, or something." His head still stared at the ground, but even then, she could see a tint of red on his cheeks, which made her smile a little before she agreed to go get a coffee.
