Sorin Bennet was in the gardens of Damian's mother, Calm, at the moment, it was dark, but there was the moonlight spilled everywhere, on the grass, on the branches, and on Avyanna and Estelle. Both the ladies were made by the gods themselves surely. They both were the exact opposite of one another. Avyanna is this hot girl, who had this evil queen sort of looks, with her dark brown heavy curls and highlights in the front. With her honey coloured eyes, sharp face cut, dangerous attitude, and in the world they lived in, her powers were the most respected one, the power of mind reading. Whereas Estelle was this cute girl, who had the looks of a stay-at-home, waiting-for-her-prince, soft-hearted, princess; with green-greyish eyes, black wavy hair, a permanent shade of pink on her cheeks, plump pink lips, and a soft chubby face, with her soft and nurturing attitude, no one would have thought that she could ever be murdered by her very own best friend.
Sorin could see the girls talk about something, with very serious expressions on their faces, and from where he was seeing this, he could see that Avyanna had a dagger tucked into the belt her night gown. The weird thing wasn't the fact that Avyanna had a dagger on her, she always had a dagger on her. But this one particularly, had markings on it, so bright that even in the night, and even so far away, Sorin could still see its bright light easily. And one thing that the magic bearers, or weapons handlers were taught from the very beginning of their life was the fact that, "The brighter the carvings, or marking were glowing, the more dangerous and heavier magic they carried." And he also knew exactly which dagger it was that she carried, it was the dagger of death, and if she had it, it must mean that she has killed the ancient witch Deyanira, the creator of this dagger, which can kill a person and transfer their powers into the killer, there is only one of it in the whole world, and apparently when she made it, the gods cursed her so that she can't use the dagger, and that she can't give it to someone willingly, but it was only a matter of time until someone smart enough came and got it.
In between the train of his thoughts, he forgot about the two girls, and only when some sort of dispute happened between the two, did he finally look at them. He supposes that the serious talk didn't go too well, the two girls soon enough started to brawl, pulling one another's hair and dress, in between of what could have soon been called a catfight, Avyanna pulled the dagger out and Estelle seemed to have frozen, even when the dagger hadn't even touched her yet. It was because even though most probably no one has seen this dagger with their own two eyes, and had lived to tell the tale, you could just see it and know that it was the dagger of death, because, first of all, it was super bright, second of all it just kinda had the vibe, and third of all, it whispered its name to everyone around it, for just one reason, Deyanira was a very proud woman, and she would never be accused of stabbing someone in the back, because if the dagger were here, you are being both challenged and warned. Then he could see that the girls had an eye contact for just a second, where both he and Estelle saw her eyes, they were lifeless, all black, as the devil had resided in her, seeing which Estelle started running and Avyanna just behind her, with the dagger in her hand. For however long Sorin had known the girls, he knew that Estelle was never a good runner, and Avyanna was the best one probably in the whole kingdom, yes Estelle was pretty good with the fighting, she defeated all the boys with almost no difficulty, but she could never even come close to defeating Avyanna. Sorin didn't need to keep up with the girls, he would just spawn next to them, in a matter of seconds Avyanna had held Estelle by the neck, causing her breathe to hitch, and had held the dagger pointing to the side of her stomach, and pushed it in. It was the dagger of death, but it was quick, and said by the Deyanira, also painless. Estelle had the expression of betrayal and hurt on her face, but as soon after the dagger went in, everything stopped in it's place, all emotions washed away and all the colours drained from her body. Avyanna then took the dagger out of her, laid Estelle's body down, and put the hilt of the dagger to Estelle's heart, then the process started, with a golden light surrounding the dagger in a circle and started to spin around, after about 13 spins the golden shimmer of light started to aim at Avyanna's heart, and shot itself in. Her head flies back in pain, her voice first comes out breathy and low, but soon turns into a loud painful scream. Hearing which, Damian comes out to the garden, only to find both his friends, either dead or in excruciating pain. He can't help but run in to stop it. He tries to pull Avyanna away but in an attempt to stay where she was, she knocks Damian down, and he hits the marble flooring next to the garden and becomes unconscious. The process completes and Avyanna's beauty increases, whereas all colours from Estelle's body changes into a dark shade of blue, icy blue.
Then everything turns a bit hazy and confusing, it seems almost like a veil, as if there were something other then just what he was seeing, and if only he could reach out to it, he could open it, but just as he was about to do that, he is awoken by the sound of the doors to his rooms opening.
Sorin's eyes flew open, and it seemed too bright, too new, he has been seeing the same dream over and over again for the past month, and whenever he wanted to touch the veil and throw it away, something happens, something which causes him to wake up and ultimately not being able to turn the veil away.
Looking at Sorin so innocently rub his eyes made Cal gaze at him for a while. Then she waves at him, while walking towards him, starts to speak.
"Hey, got yourself bruised up pretty badly I heard." She sits on the chair next to Sorin's bed. And holds his burned hand, in hers.
Sorin was so busy in taking in how elegantly beautiful she was, that he didn't even hear what she said. Calixte was this gangster girl, with her above shoulder, pure blond hair, sky blue eyes, elf ears, piercing on her face, particularly, a septum, ear piercing, and a right eyebrow piercing. Usually he doesn't like piercings much, but seeing them on Cal, they looked beautiful, as if they were made for her. There was also a thin band on her neck, like a net, but it fitted her personality well, almost too well. Then came a snap, right in front of his face by Cal, turning all his thoughts into attention for her.
"Did you even hear what I said Sorin?" with her hands on her hips, and a slight frown on her face. Sorin sits up, and tells her that he actually didn't hear what she had said, to which her frown just turns bigger. "OK so here is what I said, I asked you about your health, how I've heard that you got hurt, now you know what I said, answer me." Sorin was chewing on his lip the whole time Cal was talking, it was just a very old habit, but this time his focus was on her.
While furiously shaking his head Sorin says, " I don't remember what happened at all. Everything is hazy and confusing.-" he looks at her, "-You know what I mean? When you know something happened, are so sure something happened, but you just don't know what exactly happened." Cal smiles slightly at his words and then nods, before asking him about his health, "Are you feeling well now? Care to join us outside?" while batting her eyelashes. Sorin tilts his head to a side and nods. She helps him to stand, with his hand on her shoulder as he was slightly taller then her, which she would never agree to, but he was, and her hand was on his back, supporting him move. Reaching the door, Sorin turns the knob of the door and, with the help of Cal, walks outside.
Outside, Sorin could see Damian and Leon sitting together on the couch, talking about something, something without me. He thought. He takes his hand off of Cal's shoulder and takes balance by the wall next to him. "How dare you talk about something without me, you ducking ducks!" And at those words, a small smile rose from all their lips, for this was a little something that all of them used to do, to not actually curse, but to use a word that sounds like it. As if someone they knew found them cursing, there would definitely be some or the other problem for them by their families, as royal families can be really strict. Hearing Sorin, the two of his friends did shake a little from the shock, but then made pouty faces and mouthed a sorry. Sorin smiled and then without the support of a human, but of walls, walked to the couch and just jumped on it. It was a huge couch, so much so that even if all of them sat as comfortably as they could, there would still be the place for one more person to sit in, and comfortably that is.
"What were you two talking about behind my back?" Sorin says, with some sarcastic anger. Cal chooses not to sit on the couch with everyone and just sits on the couch to the side of the couch on which everyone sat. The question makes both the faces turn cold and scary. After a moment of torture, Damian finally starts to talk, "Its about Avyanna, about what she did, and about what we should do now. We just started, cause we can't even discuss this without you two. So you tell, what should we do now?" It was the topic that Damian had feared, but also knew it was coming. It was like those moments, when a murderer walks inside a house with no exits, and you just know you are about to die, because there is no escape, no running away.
