Chapter 110 - Bet problem

Alexander approached the commentary box, where he saw a young man with an "H" arm, which meant he was a member of the militia, and a small metal door.

Alexandre approached and said to the militia man "I need to speak to the arena organizers".

The man replied, "The organizers are busy, so come back after the fighting sessions!

Alexandre replied "It's an emergency!"

The man said scornfully, "For the second time, the organizers are busy, come back after the fighting sessions!"

Alexander ignored the militia man and put his hand on the door handle, the militia man grabbed the handle, Alexander stopped and looked at the militia man with a blue fluorescent eye injected with hunter energy, who was very surprised.

Alexandre calmly said, "You have one second to let go, if you don't, you lose your hand.

The man saw Alexandre's look of power, and a wave of fear went through his body. He realized that he'd better not play hardball with him, so he withdrew his hand and resumed a passive stance.

Alexander opened the door and entered the room, before the embarrassed eyes of the young militia man.

The lodge was more rustic inside, the arena itself was made of old stone, only a few low-quality wooden tables and a microphone were present, the two commentators were discussing the fight in progress, next to them a string of cables ran around the room, Alexander saw a man in a suit, about ten years old, standing and smoking a cigarette, he seemed to be watching the duel, Alexander deduced that he was either the organizer or one of his representatives.

Alexandre approached the man with the cigarette and said "I'd like to change the name of a participant in the duel".

The organizer replied "Go away, kid, the adults are busy".

Alexandre lightly tapped the apple of the bread where the man was holding his cigarrette, the man reflexively dropped the cigarette, which fell to the ground, then Alexandre stepped in front of the man, crushed the cigarette to the ground and said "Sorry, I didn't quite catch that, can you repeat it?" then he pointed to the apple with his hand, as if in a threat

A moment of silence passes between the two men, then the man with the cigarrette smiles slightly and says, "A baggareure? Hmm follow me to my office so we can discuss your problem!"

Alexander and the man went into another room where there was a large desk in the middle of the room, he sat on it and opened a notebook and said "What time's your fight? "

Alexandre replied "8:15".

the organizer turned the pages of his notebook and said "William Walton versus Chetan Ambani".

Alexandre replied "Yes, that's right!"

The organizer crossed his arms and said "Okay, and what do you want to change about this fight? I warn you in case of cancellation there's no refund!"

Alexandre replied, "No, there's no cancellation, just a small correction to the name!"

The man burst out laughing and said "A yes? A simple name change? Do you want me to get down on my knees and give you a blow job too? and have my two employees lick your balls when you're done?"

Alexandre replied calmly, "What's wrong with changing a name in combat?!"

The man took out a new cigarette, then took out an aluminum foil packet which he used to light his cigarrette and said, "Changing a participant's name is theoretically easy, but you have to understand something: the main source of income of arena isn't the $300 registration fee that fighters pay to get in their faces, but rather the bets that the arena has a monopoly on, so if you change a fighter you also change the odds that go with it! "The man took a puff of smoke, then added, "So explain to me, young man, how I explain the situation to the bettors? Oh guys, don't worry about your money, we'll just change the names! But you'll have a good show for sure! Just imagine for a second the face of the guy who put his monthly paycheck into this bet!"

Alexandre thought about it, then replied, "Yes, but what happens if one of the fighters doesn't show up?"

The man smiled and said "It's simple, the bets are cancelled and the bettors are reimbursed, the arena collects the $300 entry fee" then the man added "So you understand, I have no interest in changing a name!"

Alexandre thought about it, then smiled, he had an idea.
