Chapter 20 - I am running late.....

He ran without stopping until he reached his destination. What was his destination anyway? He had run away from Elician and Lacey. He ran from their sights when the pain at his groins stopped. He knew Elician spared him for a reason. And that reason was dreadfully bad. And about Lacey, the girl they kidnapped.

That girl was even more cruel than the boy. She had slapped him countless times with the whips that were supposed to be used for the horses. The whipping didn't stop early. It went on and off until she was tired of torturing him. The torture alone didn't scare him enough. He was scared after the things that might happen if he meets the one that sent him...

The sudden stop made him realize what Lacey was up to. She went inside the chariot, came back with two daggers in her hands. Just what was she going to do with it? and seeing those he ran away like a coward into the bushes.

That wasn't the only reason why he ran. He wasn't running from the two kids. No! He wasn't. Something else was also after him.

He was running because of something dangerous. And his heart trembled at the mere image of it.

The fear kept him moving forward. He was not stopping. He stopped from thinking about it. He gulped in his way as he dashed through the trees.  He started running past huge trees.

Bamm!! he slammed into something, he had run all his way just to bump into the one thing he feared. How he wished he stayed with the kids at least he could be a little saved from the pursuit. His stomach churned ice at the sight of his Demise. He had slammed into the very thing he was running from..... Death.....

Unknown: "Hello dear, miss me?" It said with a voice like a pure hearted female but its intentions were vile. A mere glance at the pupils of the shadow would make you tremble. And it did, he couldn't stop his feet from vibrating.

" Pp please, I beg you. I did my best."

Unknown: well your best wasn't enough. Where is the girl!

" She…she was right here. She got away, " he reported.

The silhouette looked at him as he was crawling around trying to find favor in her eyes . " Your statement means nothing to me. I told you to bring her to me and you didn't. I am afraid you won't be seeing your family again." She finished with a snap on her fingers.

Out of nowhere, two people encased in ribbons appeared in the air above the trees yelling at the sight of the ground beneath them. " Please, let them go. And I swear I will get her for you. We almost did but some wizard boy came in and killed my friends brutally. But I tell you if you spare them, I will offer my soul for you." He pleaded.

" Wait, that witch boy did that." She said pointing out the direction he came from. It was far from the road but yet she said as if she were there all this whole time. "Alright," She assured.

His heart finally came to peace thinking that was it. "Thank goodness,'' he whispered to himself.

" But it doesn't still give me any reason to spare their lives"

" What? No, please don't do it." He cried looking at the pale face of his wife.

She looked at them up high with an evil grin on her face then she whispered something strange, raised her fingers then snapped them with force. Immediately, the ribbons started coiling over them like a serpent.

" No, Sabrina!" He screamed at the sight of his own daughter being suffocated as the ribbons continued squeezing her throat.

" Please kill my wife but please spare our daughter. She is innocent."

" Okay" It stated out without any emotions. Sabrina's body materialized out of the ribbons to an unknown destination...

He didn't notice it at first. He was busy looking at her wife's last breath. She looks at her husband one last time and then 🔥 an unending suffering consumes her.

His wife's body fell from the sky and landed with a brute force right in front of him. Just like that she died. Because of his stupid decisions. He joined the men and this is his reward for it. A reward he will never forget. Loss.

" No! No! You are not dead my wife, you can't die. Not like this that there's a four months old boy in your womb!!! Because of me my family is disintegrating."

Just like that, she was gone. And by her I meant her awfulness, the mistress of hell.

"Where are you, coward! If you are so powerful then go and take the girl yourself. What More can you take from me." He screamed in the air.

Then a voice out of nowhere replied. " Your daughter is still with me, don't forget."

Lacey Evans stared at the same boy she loathed now. He made her moan and that was involuntarily. Just what was he thinking about  right now. She wandered. They were currently sitting in the driver's seat.

Elician on the other side was fascinated by how such a spoiled girl knew how to ride horses. The two black horses looked mysterious though but not as mysterious as those two.

" Can't this car move any faster," Elician said, trying to annoy her.

" It's called a chariot, not a car." She replied with her gaze still on the road.

Yes, the horses were walking slowly and even the environment felt bored with just the sight of the two sitting there saying nothing to each other.

" Can you make it go a bit faster?" Elician said this time he sounded worried.  It surprised Lacey.

" Why is that?"

" My mom," he said, staring at the sky.

" Okay Elician." She had wanted to ask him questions about the gruesome things.

The horse moved at the sound of the whips at their backs. Moving faster than the speed of normal the wheels of the chariot started losing its sockets. The woods at the ceiling started falling apart. It was losing its sockets.

To be continued.
