Then, the bond should be back to normal, right?" Though it was never specifically stated that going over 50% would return the numbers to normal, it can be assumed so. "Hmm..."
Nevertheless, given that there was a specific nerf to the overall bond's effect when linking with a person below 50%, it placed a new perspective for Jace in looking for links. Other than needing to have a semblance of trust with them, the person also had to have a high Soul Compatibility as well, at a minimum of fifty.
