"...?!" At the sight of the unexpected notification greeting him, Jace blinked. "What the...? I can link with Derek now?"
To the young man's surprise, he had received a link prompt, indicating that all the link conditions were fulfilled. However, Jace could only stare at it in shock.
"No way..." he raised his brow in confusion, completely speechless. "Derek's goal is just to earn enough money to retire?"
Although Jace had intended to complete the task one way or another, he never would have expected him to accomplish it just by listening to Landon's and Derek's banter.
"Hah! If you want to live comfortably and retire, then work harder!" Landon exclaimed. "The sooner we get stronger, the sooner you can earn more money! So, come and train with me!"
"Nope! No way! You're crazy!" Derek cried out in reply. "Let me have my peaceful rest days, thanks!"
"Seriously?!" The blonde-haired man grumbled at his words. "My training isn't that intense!"
