"Are you destined to follow my Buddhist teachings?"
Ning Chenxin looked at the monk before her, draped in a kasaya, and without giving it much thought, she shook her head and refused, "Sorry, I already have a sect."
The old monk listened and didn't get angry. His eyes remained tightly closed as he maintained a compassionate smile, continuing to persuade her, "Benefactor, your connection with Buddhism is profound. Only by following this old monk back to the Clear Heart Temple can you use Buddhist teachings to save all sentient beings in this world."
Upon hearing this, Ning Chenxin shook her head again.
"Why do you shake your head, benefactor?" asked the monk with a smile.
Ning Chenxin replied, "The paths to the Great Dao all converge at the same end. Buddhism is also a Dao, so why must one go to the Clear Heart Temple to save all sentient beings?"
However, the old monk responded, "The Clear Heart Temple has always devoted itself to spreading Buddhist thoughts."
