The Centaur Archer twirled his yew longbow around his index finger, nonchalantly fitting it into his right bow quiver, before kicking his yew shortbow from the ground into his left hand. Five arrows in succession slammed into the Holy Knight's battle shield. The force of the arrows, made from the metal bows of the Beast Elves, caused the Holy Knight's bloodied hands, littered with arrows, to shake violently. More intimidating within close range than the longbow, the shortbow's arrows clashed with the shield, sending sparks flying and breaking the arrow shafts with a series of loud snaps.
"Oh... ambidextrous archery, by the Moon Goddess! He is actually a Divine Archer who can use both hands!" Marveled Luo Xi, the elven wife of the battalion commander. Her superior vision noticed the ivory thumb rings on both hands of the Centaur Archer. She realized that compared to him, she was merely an apprentice archer.
