"I forgive you, my father," Avril firmly nodded.
"You may come and bid her farewell," King Beckenbauer said towards the mermaids on the side.
Besides a few younger mermaids who came up, kissed Avril's hand silently, none of the other close royal relatives of Avril came forward, they merely shifted their bodies.
Prince Similian's gaze drifted into the distance.

"Father, although I've forgiven you, it does not mean I admit my mistake. If given another chance, I would still..." said Avril gripping Liu's hand, "I would still insist on doing this."
Avril's words were full of stubbornness. The Mermaid Clan, although notorious for their explosive temper, showed their loyalty towards love through Avril in that very moment.
King Beckenbauer didn't respond, but stepped aside silently.
