With a "snap", a Beast Elf Archer's thumb and the string of his bow, compounded from metal, brutally sliced off, his tall stature crashing onto the ground.
The cause of his death was simple. The Centaur Divine Archer, born with six fingers, was able to simultaneously shoot five arrows in quick succession, while he, having only five fingers, could only manage four feathered arrows.
His first four arrows were countered by the Centaur Archer's late shots. But when the Centaur Archer released the fifth arrow, he was only halfway through readying his second set of arrows. Just because of one finger, his life was determined.
The second Beast Elf Archer stepped out without hesitation.
This time round, the Centaur Archer was launched into the air, pinned against the cave wall behind him, like a gecko stuck by a dart.
