The rattan armor of Feilengcui had also been replaced. The new sets of armors were standard composite armors, and each armor set was sandwiched with a blood gum sheet as thin as paper foil. The surprisingly elastic blood gum, in combination with the rattan armor, significantly enhanced the direct impact protection of the second generation rattan armor of Feilengcui due to its buffer capacity.
