The temple stood upon a high foundation, hundreds of granite steps led up to the majestic main entrance where a towering statue of the war god Kampas was seated. The statue of the god was twenty-blade high. He was adorned in a full suit of armor and his face was sternly masked - his features indiscernible. In his left hand he held a jagged greatsword firmly planted into the ground, while his right hand rested on his knee, atop a book of law. Flanked by the war god's statue were two altar-like flower cups, blazing with raging fire.
Twelve pairs of giant stone pillars, each etched with vivid beast carvings and intricate designs, held up the main structure of the temple. Each beast was meticulously sculpted, their likenesses uncannily lifelike.
Helen beckoned everyone to follow her up the steps. Only as everyone stood at the feet of the statue did they truly grasp its overpowering presence.
