The soldiers of Mulan who lay in ambush within the ruins of the ancient city were composed of three desert clans: the Sedum's rattling Snake-men, the Sigodi's Scorpion-men, and the McWana Tribe's Lizard people. They formed two units of 'Honglu,' which in the Mulan army stood for a 'thousand-man tent,' so two Honglu units equaled two thousand warriors.
Like the Sand Boat Dwarf Soldiers, these desert fighters were also part of the 'Subsand Corps,' one of the five secret regiments of Mulan's 'Flying Camel Army.'
