If it weren't for a huge chasm created by severe weathering at a position slightly east of the meridian, the civilizations of the desert and Aegean would likely have never had the chance to clash---------The mountain, soaring hundreds of feet high, had stood for eons, surely a threshold intentionally set by the creation deity.
