With the swirling Darkness Swallowing hole still active, Muttle had embedded her katana into the ground to anchor herself, Kira clung desperately to a tree, and Theo elevated himself into the air using his air.
"Let's see how long you can hold on, for my Darkness Swallowing consumes everything in its path," Voragor declared, a cold smirk playing on his lips. 'The cost of darkness depends on how much it swallows, but the cost is already high and if it doesn't swallow; it can't turn things into nourishment for me,' he thought.
"Someone do something! I can't hold on for much longer!" Kira urgently exclaimed.
As Voragor's Darkness Swallowing expanded, sucking in more materials from the surroundings, the suction intensified. Kira's muscles ached, and she started to sweat as her grip on the tree weakened. Voragor's smirk grew wider, reveling in the additional darkness gained from the swallowing process.
Lennox observed Kira's struggle, her hands slowly slipping away, and then looked back at the expanding hole of Darkness Swallowing. Analyzing the nature of the darkness swallow, he had an idea. If it could swallow normal materials, what would happen if it swallowed something more potent?
'If it absorbs powers. What if there's... a backlash?' Lennox pondered with focused and calculating gaze.
Despite the pain from Voragor's darkness beam, Lennox persevered. Gripping a tree stem, he conjures a fireball before releasing it, the fireball was instantly sucked into the swirling darkness.
Voragor looked at Lennox with interest. "Huh, whatever you're doing is useless," he said confidently.
Ignoring Voragor's words, Lennox continued sending more fireballs into the Darkness Swallowing with a subtle smirk after every fireball reasled. After a couple more, suddenly the swallowing stopped. Kira was dropped onto the ground, and Voragor's belly expanded. Everyone looked at him curiously, and for Voragor, this had never happened before when he swallowed powers. At the same moment, Voragor's belly sounded like a bomb, and black smoke came flying out of his mouth.
Voragor, seething with anger, roared in fury. "Damn it! I'm going to kill you! Do you realize what you just did?" His anger reverberated through the air. Internally, Voragor grappled with the consequences of Lennox's interference. 'That could have killed me... I need help with the darkness slowly failing. I didn't gain enough darkness back. The only option is to summon Nocturne back, but it will also waste more of my darkness. This child is smart; he might change the situation for the better for him if I'm not careful,' he strategized, his fists clenched tightly.
With a forceful motion, Voragor pushed his palm forward, and darkness swirled around it. After a few seconds, Nocturne materialized in front of him, instantly kneeling.
Voragor sneers in displeasure"Nocturne, quickly, hold them back. I need time to summon her," hed ordered while backing away.
"Yes, my lord," Nocturne responded, shivering. 'My lord isn't angry... he is summoning her this time; they are surely dead,' he thought, a slight smile appearing.
Despite his fear, Nocturne got up and turned to look at Kira and the others with determination and coldness.
"With your deaths, I will make up for my past transgressions...for my lord," Nocturne declared.
Voragor looked up at the night sky, an eclipse moon appearing in his eyes. "I haven't summoned her in years, so it might take a while," he said to himself. 'I hope Nocturne can hold them off for long enough,' he thought, looking back down at Nocturne.
Taking a deep breath, Voragor moved his hands in a circular motion before clapping them together. "Bringer of eclipse, I call upon you, Darkling Anathema!" he proclaimed. The moon in the sky, along with a small black hole, appeared between Voragor's palms. As he moved his hands up and down, he infused the hole with darkness, causing it to slowly expand, mirroring the hole on the moon. 'In all of history, no one has been able to summon her like I do,' he thought with agonized gritting of his teeth.
Lennox, holding his chest in pain with blood sliding down the side of his mouth with a subtle smirk of satisfaction, shouted, "Everyone, attack him together!"
Kira, Theo, and Muttle began their assault on Nocturne"Jajjer, attack," Nocturne ordered as his mouth swelled, spitting out multiple black balls at Lennox. Simultaneously, Jajjer started expanding, it was the creature that had attacked Draven before which no one knew where he went, and attached itself to Lennox's body.
Nocturne pushed his hand out to Lennox"Bomb," He said slowly before clenching his fist.
As the word "bomb" left Nocturne's mouth, all the Jajjer on Lennox's body swelled, then exploded. Though the explosion wasn't significant, Lennox's scream of pain pierced through the air. Everyone wanted to get closer to help, but a shockwave pushed against them, preventing them from approaching.
"Hmm," Nocturne felt something was wrong when he noticed a sign of a standing pose.
Looking over to where Lennox had seemingly exploded, Jajjer turned into mist and flowed away, revealing that Lennox was still standing tall, looking fullyrecovered. Nocturne was shocked by how his Jajjer attack failed when it never had before. The explosion was so close to Lennox's body that it should have torn him to shreds.
"Nox, you're alive," Theo said in shock, quickly walking over to Lennox.
"Twinkle, are you okay?" Kira asked, also walking over to Lennox.
"I'm good... everyone just focus on Net," Lennox said. 'Thank you, Nadia, for that strength pill, or else I would surely be dead,' he thought with a sigh of relief.
The pill boosted strength by 10%, providing a surge of energy and resilience. Muscles became more robust, reflexes sharpened, and the user gained a temporary but formidable edge in physical endeavors. There are three different pills: strength, agility, and intellect. Lennox had asked Nadia for the strength pill while he wanted the intellect pill to come up with a tactic. While fighting Voragor, he was already good at tactics, so he felt he could come up with one without the use of the pill. At the last second, before the Jajjer landed, he swallowed the strength pill.
"What about Voragor?" Kira asked, looking at Voragor, who stood in a weird position.
"Don't worry, I already have it under control," Lennox said, patting Kira's shoulder while walking past. "Just focus on Nocturne's."
Kira and the others went to attack Nocturne, who still tried to intercept Lennox, but he was outnumbered and easily held back. Lennox approached Voragor, muttering to himself, "Seems like this time I really underestimated his powers and how the power difference at higher ranks is... I need to get stronger." he clenched his fist.
"I have to give props where it is due. In my thousands of years fighting Nexarcs, I never thought I would be beaten by some new Nexarcs...that I have to use this," Voragor complimented.
Lennox observed Voragor's eyes and hands, noticing a dark hole forming as he fell the sky was getting dark not just from it a; already being night. Looking up, he saw the moon with a similar dark hole. 'What is he doing? Is it a last-ditch effort?' Lennox wondered.
"Ha, thanks... But do you remember calling me a pawn in your game?" Lennox said, circling Voragor with a ball shield made of darkness surrounding him. He could attack the ball thanks to the strength pill it might break, but he didn't need it.
"Yeah, and you still are!" Voragor shouted back.
"Really? Well, it seems you're just nothing but a pawn in my game," Lennox said, smirking.
"What?" Voragor was shocked.
Lennox continued, "You already fell into my trap."
With Voragor being distracted by Muttle before, he had prepared for the failure, and he had prepaid for that with one snap of his fingers, he set two fires underneath the ground one close and one further so it had two circles. With that Lennox positioned himself outside the second circle and Voragor, standing inside it, he stared back at the sealing.
But this time, Lennox threw the Sealing Orb of Aetheria up in the air in the center of the circle. Placing his hands at chest level, palms facing each other, fingers slightly spread, Lennox pointed a finger towards the center of the circle.
'Oh no,' Voragor thought in fright.
Quickly moving his hands upward, he brought his nexus energy to a focal point of the Sealing Orb of Aetheria. At that moment, a large square of nexus energy surrounded Voragor completely.
'Only the fourth Nexarch has ever been able to seal me, and now there is no escape,' Voragor thought, remembering that this seal was made from Nexus energy in the universe, not like in Nexarc energy in a normal body.
"My Lord!" Nocturne, shocked and already injured, was caught off guard as Kira, Theo, and Muttle landed attacks on him, causing him to crumple to the ground.
Suddenly, Voragor felt an unbearable pain in his head, and he didn't know why, but like someone invaded his soul. He had to hold his head, causing the black hole by the moon to explode, sending powerful shockwaves through the entire city and islands. At the same time, a lightning strike hit Voragor as a black wisp of smoke flew out of Voragor's ear, it was Jax. Everyone else already knew after Vayuna quickly did a search about him but mostly came up with just his name and the bloodline of dust.
Jax looked toward everyone. "Lennox and everyone else, thank you for what you did, but also, I'm so sorry for what I caused. I will take care of Voragor," he said with a momentary flash of guilt in his eyes. "Please care for my sister. Tell her I love her whenever she wakes up," he added, tears rolling down his face, with hands reaching out. 'I've left everything she needs to survive... I could only hope she has a good life,' he thought before going back into Voragor's ear, with a slow reluctant movement.
Voragor furiously pounded on the seal. "No! I will return! I always return!" he shouted before the circle closed completely and he was absorbed into the seal.
