As Lennox hung in the air, he couldn't resist a wry comment under his breath, "Guess they weren't joking about the dangers of construction sites. This wasn't exactly in the playbook..."
After soaring through the air for what felt like an eternity, Lennox finally landed heavily on the roof of a wood and stone house. The impact caused him to fall through the roof, landing amidst various objects inside. Though several things poked at his body, fortunately, none caused significant harm.
As Lennox gradually rose from whatever makeshift landing pad fate had provided, he mumbled to himself, "Note to self: work on those superhero landings for the next run-in with giant mysterious creatures."
Then, a voice rang out in dismay, "Ahh... You wrecked my house."
Lennox turned towards the source of the scream, and there he saw a little girl, around 13 years old. Her face soft, doe-like eyes mesmerized him with swirling irises reminiscent of wisps of darkness. The girl's fair complexion and small, button-like nose gave her a delicate appearance.
She was dressed in a floor-length gown crafted from luxurious midnight blue. The gown had a flowing silhouette, a high collar Long, sheer sleeves with subtle lace adorned her arms, along with delicate, fingerless gloves Her attire was completed with ankle-length boots, and her long black hair was adorned with small, dark-colored flowers.
Lennox approached the little girl slowly, concern evident on his face. "Wait, I'm sorry. Please don't cry," he said softly, worried that his actions might upset her.
To his surprise, the little girl tilted her head, looking at Lennox as if he were being silly. "What makes you think I'm on the verge of tears... Oh, you assume just because I'm young, I can't control my emotions?" she stated matter-of-factly.
"No! No, that's not what I meant," Lennox hastily clarified. 'I definitely mean't that'
"Oh, well, it certainly sounded so anyway," she retorted before pointing at Lennox. "Aidan, get him!" she suddenly shouted out.
Lennox, taken aback by the unexpected turn of events, braced himself for whatever "Aidan" might entail.
At the room on a dresser had a teddy with mere 2 feet, the bear its body divided into two distinct halves black and white The left side features a sinister design, with a red-sliced eye and an eerie, toothy grin On the right side, beady black eyes and a more innocent smile, Lennox initially dismissed the significance of the teddy bear with its weird appearance. However, to his astonishment, the bear suddenly came to life, leaping up and executing a flying kick toward him.
'How is that bear going to hurt me' Lennox thought with Confusion etched on his face, he quickly realized that he underestimated teddy bear's capabilities. As the bear's leg connected with his stomach, he was taken aback by the unexpected pain that surged through his body. Doubled over and gasping for air, Lennox grappled with the realization that this seemingly innocent plush toy possessed a strength and force that defied all logic.
What the hell? How can this teddy bear move and hurt me? stunned by the sensation that felt akin to being struck by a speeding truck.
"How dare you break in here and destroy Lady Isabella's house!" the bear bellowed, a sinister smile spreading across its face.
The teddy bear propelled into the air by the rebound off Lennox's stomach, seized the opportunity. Lennox's eyes widened as a swift kick connected with the side of his face, sending him into a whirlwind of motion. As Lennox spun through the air, time seemed to slow, With a resounding thud, Lennox collided with the ground then the teddy bear landed on his stomach while on the ground jumping up and down on him.
"You better be thankful... it wasn't the lady who unleashed her wrath at you, but for you, it should be a pleasure to be attacked by the 'Bear king of Vision City'" the teddy bear spoke in a sinister tone.
"Alright, alright, stop. I'm sorry for destroying your house," Lennox managed to say as the wind kept getting knocked out of him, the teddy bear named Aidan landing back on him.
"Alright, Aidan, you can stop now," Lady Isabella, the little girl, commanded.
"Hmm," Aidan grunted, jumping off Lennox's stomach with one last heavy landing.
Lady Isabella walked around towards Lennox's side, her hand on her chin. "So, I really want to know, why did you decide to break in here?" she inquired, her finger tapping her chin.
"A dark, mysterious creature sent me flying into the air somehow, and I landed here... I didn't try to break in," Lennox explained quickly, taking deep breaths.
Lady Isabella stooped down into Lennox's face, "Do you really think I will believe something like that?" she said skeptically.
Lennox was bewildered as the girl didn't believe him, "Lady Isabella, are you serious right now... you're saying that you haven't seen or heard the current destruction of Vision City right now?" he questioned.
Lady Isabella circled around Lennox, skepticism in her eyes. "Let's say I believe you, which I don't... But if it's true, you just landed in the Van'ar clan compound, which also has a lot of good items to steal," she remarked.
"Wait, I really wasn't about to steal. Will you just go to the city and see the dark giant? Or I can return here and fix back your roof and your playhouse," Lennox suggested, not wanting to cause any more problems with a clan he had never heard about. However, the thought of fixing the house raised its own set of concerns.
Teddy bear Aidan, who hadn't spoken in a while, suddenly burst into laughter. "Ha, ha... This kid really thinks he can just walk back into the clan's compound," he said arrogantly.
Lennox felt a wave of worry as he wondered, 'What clan compound did I land into?'
After a moment of silence, Lady Isabella, who hadn't shown much emotion, smiled. However, it wasn't a happy smile; it was sinister. "Hmm... I agree to you fixing back the roof," she declared, her tone carrying an ominous undertone.
Lennox rubbing his sore stomach pushed back any inclination to cry, he didn't she would agree to have him repair the roof.
"Well, it's about time you leave before the Patriarch or someone else comes to find out what happened here," Lady Isabella said.
'Patriarch,' Lennox thought in panic, wondering what other formidable figure in the clan could easily kill him. Quickly getting up, he stammered, "Thank you," to Lady Isabella.
"And make sure to return to repair the damaged roof!" Aidan shouted with a wide grin.
As Lennox, still seething with annoyance at the teddy bear turned around, he inadvertently bumped into something soft. Looking up, his gaze met a towering figure an imposing woman standing at an impressive 8'5" height.
The woman had an eerie and enigmatic appearance. Half of her face was missing, exposing a skeletal structure with subtle remnants of decaying flesh. On the exposed side, a piercing, intense eye perhaps the same black and white resided within dark, sunken sockets. Part of her teeth on this side were sharpened and uneven, adding to the unsettling aura.
In contrast, the other side of her face was smooth and beautiful, with black eyes that exuded a different kind of intensity. The woman's overall appearance was accentuated by an elegant, hourglass silhouette. She wore a long, dark, flowing dress with a high neckline and long, fitted sleeves. The form-fitting, corset-like bodice showcased her figure, and thigh-high slits on both sides of the dress.
Lennox gulped as he faced the woman, a mix of awe and fear crossing his face. "Ah... Hi," he said softly, attempting to move around her.
Panic surged within Lennox as the tall woman, likely another clan member, surrounded him with an ominous black energy. Swiftly, he was sent flying straight through the roof, creating yet another hole that will be needed to repair.
"Dammit, not again," Lennox's voice echoed through the air.
The woman then turned her attention to Lady Isabella, biting on the left side of her mouth, creating a rattling sound in the air.
"So, you decided to let him go... I was just letting him come back on his own for you," Lady Isabella said respectfully.
The woman didn't answer, just turned around and walked away. Lady Isabella was accustomed to her not answering, so she continued talking.
"Was he not good enough?" Lady Isabella inquired before the woman completely left.
