After Lennox left the training room, he headed to the cafeteria to eat his lunch. Once again, Theo wasn't there, so after eating he decided to make his way back to his room. While walking, he noticed Kira approaching him, her gaze filled with suspicion and curiosity. He couldn't help but wonder why she was looking at him like that.
Finally, Lennox and Kira stood facing each other. he couldn't shake the feeling that Kira had something on her mind. "What's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?" he asked, his brow furrowing in concern.
"Like how?" Kira responded, her expression innocent.
"Like... so suspicious, like you've got something to tell me or you have something to ask," Lennox explained, his intuition nagging at him.
"Hmmm... well, I do have something to tell and ask," Kira said, her voice trailing off slightly. "So, let's go for a walk in the city," she suggested, a hint of anticipation in her eyes.
Lennox decided to find out why Kira had been looking at him with such suspicion and curiosity. He followed her out of the academy, using atravas to make their way to the city. As they walked through the bustling streets, Kira kept making small noises and stealing glances at him before quickly looking away. Lennox grew increasingly puzzled and annoyed by her behavior. Finally, he had enough and decided to ask her directly.
Lennox stopped and looked at Kira, his expression a mix of confusion and curiosity. "Look... we have been walking for a while, and you've just been going 'hmm' and looking at me," he said, trying to keep his tone casual. "Can you say what you wanted? Why did we have to come out here instead of the academy?"
Kira halted, her eyes locked onto Lennox's. "Okay... So where were you two days ago?" she asked, her tone steady but insistent.
"I was with my friend Theo, and then I went to class," Lennox answered, his mind racing with confusion about her line of questioning.
"Really?" Kira said knowingly, her gaze unwavering. "Well... why did I see you on the street across from my apartment?"
Lennox was taken aback, memories rushing back of the day he attacked kevin and the multiple apartments surrounding him. "Oh... I now remember. I was exploring the city," he said, his voice slightly strained.
"So, you weren't in the alley where Kevin got attacked?" Kira questioned further.
"Nope," Lennox replied quickly, attempting to maintain his composure.
"Twinkle, stop lying. I saw you climbing the rooftop above Kevin. When I went to check, I found a large crowd surrounding the brutalized Kevin and a small remnant of your azure-colored flame," Kira said, her voice firm.
Lennox felt a knot tighten in his stomach, realizing that Kira had witnessed the incident. His mind raced, connecting the dots to Nadia's earlier questions about the attack. 'That's why Nadia was questioning me about Kevin's attack... but why didn't she take me away if she also knew about the flame?' he wondered.
"Okay... Fine because I trust you, I was there when Kevin was attacked," Lennox admitted, his voice filled with guilt. "Because I was the one who attacked him." he felt he should tell the truth to Kira because she that one of his friends he could trust but at the same time he didn't ant to lose but if he did after admitting it he knew deep down its his fault.
"Why attack him... I don't see a reason for you to leave the academy and attack him," Kira asked, her confusion and concern evident in her eyes.
Lennox took a deep breath, his anger simmering just beneath the surface. "Well... because Kevin and his friend attacked Theo... and people like that don't have a need for power," he said, his voice tight with frustration.
"I'm sorry... I did not know," Kira said, her voice softening with understanding.
"It's okay, there's no need to be sorry. How could you know the truth if you only see and not hear?" Lennox responded, appreciating her attempt to understand his perspective.
"I thought you were going to kill yourself because you couldn't take it anymore," Kira said, her words filled with worry. "But it seems I was wrong." Kira felt that because Lennox is an ember-flare the way others treated him was getting to him.
Hearing Kira's concern warmed Lennox's heart. "Well, thank you for trying to help and I have lived around these types of people for years I won't kill myself because of other hatred and fears," he said, his voice softer now, touched by her compassion.
"So, how are you?" Lennox asked, changing the subject, genuinely concerned about her well-being.
As Lennox asked the question, he noticed a profound sadness in Kira's eyes, a reflection of her inner struggle. During their walk, he observed her closely, noticing the subtle changes in her demeanor and the signs of stress etched on her face.
He gently reached out, his hand finding her shoulder and giving it a reassuring pat. "Hey, Kira," Lennox said, his voice warm and concerned. "I've noticed you've seemed a bit stressed. How's everything going? If there's something on your mind, you can talk to me about it." His gesture and words conveyed genuine care, offering her a listening ear and support.
Kira sighed, her eyes flickering with a mix of frustration and exhaustion. "I haven't been able to break through my current limits in a while," she admitted, her voice tinged with a hint of disappointment. "No matter how hard I try, I feel like I'm hitting a wall."
"I just had my own breakthrough, thanks to Mentor Nadia, and I learned something," Lennox said, his tone encouraging. "You know, breaking through barriers isn't something you have to face alone. I'm trying to earn friends, as you mentioned. I'm also alone... I'm here to support you if you need me."
Kira looked up at him, her eyes softening with gratitude. "You'd do that for me?" she asked, her voice a mixture of surprise and hope.
Lennox nodded, his gaze steady. "Of course," he said"Let's work on this together. Maybe we can find a new perspective, a different approach that might help you make that breakthrough."
"Come, let's go to my apartment," Kira suggested.
"Your apartment!" Lennox said out loud, his surprise evident. 'That's the first time I've been to someone's house, especially a girl's.'
"Why did you shout it out?" Kira asked, her curiosity piqued.
"Nothing, let's go," Lennox replied, trying to play off his embarrassment, and together, they headed towards her apartment.
After walking for a couple of minutes, Kira and Lennox arrived at her apartment. They entered a normal black and white room filled with books and various girly items scattered around. he took in the surroundings, noticing the cozy atmosphere of her living space, with books piled everywhere and other personal touches that made it uniquely hers.
"WELCOME to my home," Kira said, gesturing toward her room. "Make yourself comfortable."
"Nice room," Lennox complimented, taking in the surroundings.
Kira sat on the edge of her bed, her eyes alight with excitement. "So... how do we start?" she asked, her anticipation palpable.
"Well, let's begin with a bit of meditation not for Nexus energy, but meditation for relaxation," Lennox suggested, his voice calm and reassuring.
Kira moved to the middle of her bed and settled into a Zen position. She started normal breathing and began her meditation. Lennox watched over her as she meditated for the next 30 minutes, giving her the space she needed for her practice.
Twenty minutes later, Kira slowly opened her eyes, looking calm and composed after her meditation session. Lennox observed her.
Kira's eyes lit up with happiness. "I feel a little bit closer," she said, gratitude shining in her eyes. "Thanks, Twinkle."
Perhaps it was because she had been too focused on it and needed a mental refresh for her breakthrough.
"Well, it seems that my job is done, and it's already getting late," Lennox said, turning around. "I'll leave..."
Before Lennox could finish speaking, Kira suddenly grabbed the back of his collar, pulling him down onto the bed with surprising strength. She ended up on top of him, holding him down, Lennox was taken aback by her sudden move, He waited, unsure of what was going on, for Kira to explain her actions.
Lennox looked up at Kira, who was also looking down at him. "You...!" he began, surprised. "What are you doing right now?" He waited, unsure of what was going on, for Kira to explain her actions.
"I don't want you to leave yet," Kira stammered, her cheeks slightly red, her eyes pleading.
"But... I need to. It's late, plus there's nothing else I'm needed for," Lennox said, his confusion evident.
Kira didn't answer back immediately, taking a couple of seconds to think about something.
"How about we play a game, and I will let you go free?" Kira suggested.
Lennox sighed, just wanting to leave, but he agreed. "Okay, what game?" he asked, wondering what she was thinking suddenly wanting to play a game when they had barely talked to each other.
"I will hold you down... and you just have to try and escape," Kira said, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
"That's all? So simple," Lennox said, taken aback. "Okay, let's do it."
Suddenly, Kira quickly moved, placing her knee on Lennox's belly, putting pressure on his stomach. "I'm sure this is painful, and if it goes on, you won't last long," Kira said. "This is the only way to escape."
Lennox looked at Kira's smooth leg, thinking, 'I have to end this as quickly as possible.'
Lennox's hands shot up, attempting to pry Kira's knee away from his abdomen. Despite his efforts, she was strong, and he felt the pressure increasing with every passing second. Desperation flickered in his eyes as he tried to find a way out.
"Nice try... it won't be that simple," Kira said, her voice determined.
'Of course it won't be. You're definitely stronger than me,' Lennox thought.
Thinking on his feet, Lennox decided to use his size to his advantage. With his feet firmly on the bed, he suddenly bucked his hips upward, catching Kira off guard. Her balance wavered for a moment, giving him the opportunity he needed. With a swift, well-timed move, he managed to roll them over, reversing their positions.
But Kira was quick as a snake. She twisted her body, her leg snaking around his neck, attempting to pull him into a chokehold. He gasped, realizing the danger he was in, and desperately clawed at the bed sheets for something to hold onto.
Summoning his remaining strength, he managed to shift his weight, destabilizing Kira's grip. Using the confined space to his advantage, he maneuvered, turning the tables once more. This time, he straddled her, pinning her arms down.
'Why is he so agile?' Kira thought.
With a sudden burst of energy, she twisted her body, using her legs to flip them over. Now, she was back on top, her knee pressing into Lennox's abdomen once more.
With a surge of determination, Lennox pushed Kira to the side, twisting her arm behind her back and leaving her lying on her back, immobilized. Gasping for air, he rolled away, creating some distance between them.
Both breathing heavily, Lennox said, "Should we say I won? I'm leaving now." He got up quickly, making his way out of the apartment.
"Dammit... Twinkle, why did you leave so quickly?" Kira said. "You should have stayed longer."
