Chereads / Plague Master / Chapter 4 - Guards

Chapter 4 - Guards

Draco ran off before the man could say anything.

Whew.

All he could do now was wait.

Each stage took about 24 hours for NPC, so he had to wait 3 days for the worm to fully control that man's brain.

Now is a good time to take on some quests while I wait for the worm to fully infect.

Draco excitedly looked at his status

Cooldown: None}

Whoo!

Now he could command his victims.

Of course, he would not do such a foolish thing when the infected is still at stage one.

Draco went to the quest board and looked for some suitable quests.

This was also a good time to look for more victims to infect.

The victims should be level 10 or less. This is due to the percentage effect.

10 levels above is the same as a 40% chance of infection.

Anything above would be difficult. Usually, high leveled NPCs have a lot of arrogance. That means that they respond worse to things like accidentally bumping into them.

They would likely retaliate and give a one-hit KO due to the level difference.

He decided that infecting a few guards or something may be a good decision. This is because he wouldn't have to arm them.

They already have the equipment, and it's common equipment. Right now, common equipment is already very rare. He also thought of an interesting idea.

He could infect some guards and [Command] them to give their equipment to him.

This was a good idea because they are less likely to object to a command that does not endanger their life.

Looking around, he found the perfect quest.

[Assist the guards]

[Description: The guards have found a nearby goblin settlement, and they wish to defeat them. they need manpower.]

[Rewards: 10SP

Failure: None]

This quest would give him the chance to infect the guards. On a side note, he might even be able to infect the goblins!

He quickly accepted the quest and went to the guards.

One guard said, "Are you our helper?"

Draco replied, "Yes sir. My name is Draco. It's a pleasure to meet you."

He held out his hand, and the guard shook it.

[Infect Success]

Draco inwardly cheered.

That was one out of ten guards infected.
