Chapter 135 - ALANA'S DECISION

Alana left after staying with a promise to call me soon and give her answer.

[5:00 PM]

As I stepped out of the house, a gentle breeze brushed against my face, carrying with it the salty scent of the ocean. The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm golden glow over the island. I decided to take a walk along the shore, enjoying the tranquility and reflecting on the events of the day.

Just as I reached the shoreline, I noticed Harley, Jenny, and Hina approaching from a distance. Harley's vibrant hair stood out, reflecting the colors of the setting sun. Jenny walked beside her, her calm and composed demeanor contrasting with Harley's playful energy. And Hina, who believed me to be her father, bounded ahead, her excitement palpable.

Harley's eyes lit up as she spotted me, and she rushed over, wrapping her arms around me in a tight hug. "Hey there, Mr. Smooth Operator. How did things go with Alana?" she asked, her voice filled with curiosity.

"Sush! Not in front of Hina," I said holding her mouth shut.

I chuckled softly, releasing Harley's mouth from my grasp. "Let's keep the details between us for now, Harley. Hina doesn't need to know all the grown-up stuff just yet."

Harley winked mischievously, playing along with the charade. "Oh, don't worry, Alex. Our little secret is safe with me."

Jenny joined us, a knowing smile on her face. "I see you two are up to your usual antics. You really know how to keep things interesting."

I grinned at Jenny, grateful for her understanding and support. "Well, life would be dull without a little mischief, wouldn't it?"

Hina skipped over, her eyes bright with excitement. "Daddy! Daddy! We had so much fun today. We explored the beach, collected seashells, and even built sandcastles."

I ruffled Hina's hair affectionately, a surge of warmth filling my heart. "I'm glad you had a great time, Hina. It sounds like the perfect day at the beach."

Hina's eyes widened, and she pointed toward the setting sun. "Look, Daddy! The sky is so pretty. It's like I can see the edge of the sky."

Argg! My head! Wtf?

****

"Daddy, look. This place is beautiful. Hahaha."

"Kiddo. I am not your father. Hey. Don't go there. There are bees... Be careful... Your mom will kill me if you get hurt..."

"..."

"Here..."

"What's this? For me? Humm."

"Mommy says she loves you. Do you love mommy? Are you going to marry my mom?"

"..."

"Mommy says if you marry her, you will become my daddy. So, you are my daddy..."

"..."

"Nila said she saw the edge of the sky where the sunset was when her daddy picked her on his shoulders. Can you pick me up on your shoulders? I want to see it too... Please, daddy..."

"Alright. Come on then... And don't call me daddy..."

"Ok, daddy..."

****

What are those memories?! I... I almost blacked out.

"Yeah, it's really beautiful. Well, get a shower and take some rest. Meanwhile, I have a meeting to attend," I said with a smile.

As I bid the girls farewell, I couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions and confusion. Those sudden memories that flooded my mind were unsettling. They seemed so real, but I couldn't make sense of them. It was as if they belonged to a different life, a different version of me.

I will know it within a day. I am counting on you System,

Well, time to go to the bar where I first met Alana.

[Ring] [Ring] My phone rang.

It's Alana.

I answered the phone, my curiosity piqued by Alana's call. "Hello, Alana. What's up?"

Alana's voice sounded slightly hesitant on the other end. "Hey, Vincent. I was wondering if we could meet up and talk. There are some things I'd like to discuss with you."

"Sure, Alana. I'd be happy to meet up and talk. Where would you like to meet?" I replied, my tone friendly and open.

"There's a café near the beach. How about we meet there in about an hour?" Alana suggested.

"That sounds perfect. I'll meet you there in an hour. Looking forward to seeing you," I said, feeling a mix of anticipation. Finally, she is going to give me her reply. If I wanted, I could have made her mine with my power, but I want her to fall for me naturally.

---

I arrived at the café near the beach a little early, finding a table in a quiet corner. The café was cozy, with a relaxed atmosphere and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filling the air. It seemed like the perfect place for a conversation.

As I waited for Alana to arrive, my mind wandered back to the memories that had resurfaced earlier. The image of a young girl calling me "daddy" and the sense of familiarity in those interactions with her felt so vivid, yet distant. There was still so much I didn't understand, but I couldn't let it distract me now.

Soon enough, Alana entered the café, her eyes searching for me. When she spotted me, a soft smile graced her lips, and she made her way over to the table. I stood up to greet her, offering her a warm hug as a gesture of familiarity.

"Hey, Vincent. It's good to see you," Alana said, her voice carrying a mix of emotions. "I've been thinking a lot since our last conversation, and I have some things I want to talk about."

"I'm glad you reached out, Alana," I replied, returning her smile. "I've also been reflecting on everything, and I believe an open and honest conversation can help us both."

We took our seats, and a waiter came by to take our orders. As we waited for our drinks, Alana looked at me with a mixture of curiosity and uncertainty.

"Vincent, I want to start by saying that I appreciate your honesty about your abilities and the things you've shared with me. It's a lot to take in, but I trust you," Alana began, her gaze searching mine. "But I need to understand two thing: are you sure you are alright with someone as old as me being your girl? And secondly, are you certain you will be able to make time for me among your other girlfriends? I mean, polygamy... It's new to me..."

I looked at Alana intently, understanding the importance of her questions. Her concerns were valid, and it was crucial for us to address them openly and honestly. I took a moment to gather my thoughts before responding.

"Alana, age is just a number, and it doesn't define the connection we share. What matters to me is the person you are and how we connect on a deeper level. I'm not concerned about the age difference between us. What's important is that we understand and respect each other."

"As for polygamy, I want to clarify something," I continued, looking into her eyes with sincerity. "While I have formed connections with multiple woman, it doesn't mean I take those relationships lightly. Each relationship is unique and holds its own value. If we choose to pursue a romantic relationship, you would have my full attention and commitment. It's not about dividing my time but about making quality time for each person in my life."

The waiter returned with our drinks, and I took a sip of my coffee, allowing a moment of silence to settle between us. Alana seemed deep in thought, processing my words.

"I appreciate your honesty, Vincent," Alana finally spoke, her voice soft. "This is all new to me, and I can't deny that it's a lot to wrap my head around. But I believe in open-mindedness and exploring the possibilities. I also believe in the connection we've established so far."

She reached across the table, her hand gently resting on mine. "I'm willing to take this journey with you, Vincent, as long as we continue to communicate openly and honestly. Can we promise each other that?"

A warm smile spread across my face as I felt a sense of relief. Alana's willingness to explore and her trust in me were reassuring.

"I promise, Alana," I said, my voice filled with sincerity. "Open communication will be the foundation of our relationship. We'll navigate this together, understanding each other's needs and being there for one another."

Alana smiled back, her eyes sparkling with a mix of excitement and vulnerability. "Thank you, Vincent. I'm glad we're on the same page. Let's see where this journey takes us."

AN: I decided not to harm Alana. But as I am writing, lying to her feels like shit to me. It's not her fault her daughter fucked up.
