Chapter 117 - ALANA'S CRISIS

It had been a year since she'd lost her husband in a car accident. They were living in San Francisco at the time, but he'd gone out with some friends from work one night and hadn't come home until four in the morning. Alana had found him unconscious in the car, slumped against the seat belt. His neck was all twisted and he looked so pale. Since then, she had been living with her only daughter Alica. She had been doing modeling gigs and went to great lengths to seduce young models, male and female alike to get to the point where she is right now.

Finally, her carrier went off flying and she became a sensation.

Moreover, at the same time, her daughter got her hands on a huge amount of wealth. When asked, Alica told her that her boyfriend died in an accident and left her his wealth since he was an orphan.

Alica made up a perfect story taking advantage of an infamous bus accident that killed 15 passengers. So, it was easy enough to convince her mother. Besides, Alana didn't dig any further because her situation didn't allowed her to do so.

After that, they settled in Australia.

Alana woke up the next morning with a lingering sense of intrigue about "Vincent White". She couldn't put her finger on it exactly—she didn't know him well enough to even call him that at this point—but something just wasn't quite right. Maybe it was his wild eyes? The way he kept looking at her like she was the most beautiful woman in the world. That could be it. It could also be the fact that she easily fell for such a young man with a promising future. Maybe it's just her being paranoid.

She thought about how she had never heard of this man, Vincent, in her long modeling carrier. A glint of doubt appeared in her heart.

As she sipped her coffee, her mind buzzing with curiosity, she decided to take matters into her own hands. She reached for her phone and dialed her agency, eager to uncover any information about the enigmatic man who had captivated her attention.

"Good morning, Melissa," Alana greeted her assistant. "I need you to dig up some information on a man named Vincent White. He's involved in the world of modeling, or so he claims. Find out everything you can about him."

Melissa's voice crackled through the phone as she acknowledged the request. "Of course, Alana. I'll get right on it. Give me a few moments, and I'll see what I can find."

Alana's excitement grew as she awaited the results of Melissa's investigation. She paced back and forth on the deck of her luxurious yacht, her mind spinning with possibilities. If Vincent White truly had connections in the modeling industry, she wanted to know more. She was determined to uncover his secrets, driven by a mixture of curiosity and desire.

Minutes turned into what felt like an eternity, until finally, Melissa's voice broke through the silence. "Alana, I've searched high and low, but I can't seem to find any substantial information on Vincent White our regular database. It's as if he's a ghost, leaving no trace."

Alana's brows furrowed with confusion. How could a man claiming to be involved in the industry have no digital footprint? It didn't add up. She pondered the situation, her thoughts racing.

"Thank you, Melissa. Keep digging. There must be something. Check with other agencies, both local and international. Someone must have heard of him," Alana instructed, her determination unyielding.

As she hung up the phone, doubts began to creep into her mind. Who was Vincent White? And why was he so elusive? Alana couldn't deny the attraction she felt, but her instincts warned her to proceed with caution. There was more to this man than met the eye, and she intended to uncover the truth.

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Alana, Alex had meticulously crafted a façade of connections and wealth within the modeling industry. With Nyssa's guidance and the power of his newfound resources, he had made it appear as if he were a rising star in the field, with ties to prominent agencies across the globe.

As Alana continued her quest for information, Alex prepared himself for the intricate game that lay ahead. His plan was set in motion, and he was determined to unravel the truth behind Alica's betrayal. But he also knew that every move he made carried consequences, and the line between truth and manipulation grew increasingly blurred.

The stage was set, and all that left is for Alana to fall into the trap.

As Alana tirelessly made call after call, her persistence finally bore fruit. Her phone buzzed with an incoming call, and she eagerly answered, hoping for a breakthrough. It was her agent, Ivan, and the excitement in his voice was palpable.

"Alana, I've got something for you," Ivan exclaimed. "Vincent White, as it turns out, is a powerful investor in the modeling industry. He prefers to operate behind the scenes, away from the spotlight. Many talents, both new and old, have benefited from his investments, but they are bound by confidentiality agreements."

Alana's curiosity peaked at the revelation. So, Vincent White did have a significant presence in the industry, albeit a secretive one. She listened intently as Ivan continued, his tone cautious.

"I must warn you, Alana. Vincent prefers to keep his identity incognito, and those associated with him are wary of speaking about him openly. They fear it may jeopardize their own careers. If he has approached you on his own accord, it might be a chance you shouldn't let slip away."

Alana's mind raced with a mix of intrigue and caution. The mysterious allure surrounding Vincent White only deepened, and Ivan's advice weighed heavily on her. She had always been one to seize opportunities, but this situation demanded careful consideration.

"Ivan, I appreciate your advice," Alana replied, her voice tinged with a hint of hesitation. "I understand the importance of confidentiality in this industry. I won't pry further, but if Vincent chooses to reveal more, I'll be ready to explore what he has to offer."

There was a brief pause on the other end of the line before Ivan responded. "Very well, Alana. Just remember, this could be a unique opportunity after everything that bastard, Zack has done to you. Be cautious, but don't let fear hold you back. I'll keep an eye out for any developments. Good luck."

"What do you mean? What did Boss do?" Alana asked.

"It's... Nothing... Nevermind. Just make sure to grasp the opportunity before you and don't think too much about the past," Ivan replied before disconnecting the call.

As Alana's thoughts swirled with anticipation, her phone rang once again, signaling an incoming call. This time it was Melissa, her assistant, who sounded somewhat hesitant on the other end of the line.

"Alana, I have something important to tell you," Melissa began, her voice tinged with concern. "I stumbled upon some information that you deserve to know. It's about your boss, Zack."

Alana's curiosity was instantly piqued as she listened intently, wondering what revelation awaited her.

"Melissa, please go ahead. What did you find?" Alana inquired, her voice laced with a mixture of anticipation and worry.

Taking a deep breath, Melissa continued. "Two years ago, when your career was going through a slump, there was an offer that came for you from Jayce Magazine in Paris. It was a significant opportunity, but it seems that Zack, your boss, deliberately withheld that information from you."

Alana's heart sank, and a wave of anger surged through her veins. She had always suspected that her career had suffered unjust setbacks, but now she was faced with tangible evidence.

"And, Alana, the most shocking part is that the offer came directly from Vincent White himself," Melissa revealed, her voice carrying a sense of disbelief. "Zack, however, decided to give the opportunity to a younger model, cutting you out of the equation."

Alana's mind reeled, her emotions a whirlwind of fury and betrayal. The pieces of the puzzle were starting to come together, and the depth of Zack's deception became painfully clear. Vincent had shown interest in her and offered her a chance to revive her career, only for Zack to sabotage it.

"I can't believe it," Alana muttered, her voice barely above a whisper. "Vincent... he had seen something in me, and Zack took it away. I will make that bastard pay."

Melissa's voice softened as she responded, "I'm sorry, Alana. I know this must be difficult to hear. But I thought you should know the truth."

Alana took a deep breath, steeling herself against the whirlwind of emotions that threatened to consume her. The revelation added a new layer of complexity to her connection with Vincent White, intertwining their paths in ways she never anticipated.

"I appreciate your honesty, Melissa," Alana replied, her voice tinged with determination.

As she hung up the phone, Alana's gaze shifted to the vast expanse of the ocean before her. The waves crashed against the hull of her yacht, mirroring the turbulent storm brewing within her. In the face of betrayal, a new resolve took hold, fueling her desire for redemption and a chance to rewrite her story.

....

Meanwhile, Alex was standing on the balcony with his gaze fixed on the beautiful view before him. Had he wanted he could have used his Erotic Phermone to bed Alana and even blackmail her or destroy her life but releasing a tape, but that would be too easy... Too short and merciful.

"I will make you feel how I felt when your daughter betrayed me. You, mother-daughter pair seemed to be enjoying my money. I will take everything back with interest. And by the time you realize, you would be already licking my feet and begging for mercy. After that, it will be Alica's turn," Alex mumbled under his breath with a smirk.

"Hey," Jessica came and hugged him from behind, "You look tense. You wanna talk... Maybe get some pressure off your chest."
