The emperor killing war shook the heavens! Threatening to destroy the upper dimensions and the very land of Gods itself! The war was brutal but Ancient emperor was defeated, but he couldn't be killed so the immortals split his existence into 13 pieces, they also split the realms into 12 parts which are now known as the 12 worlds and they seal 12 of the 13 pieces into the 12 worlds while the remaining 1 piece, they decided to seal it in the Gods world.
In order to prevent the resurrection of the ancient emperor, the immortals isolated the 12 worlds from the rest of the Gods world and upper dimensions and then seal the 12 worlds into a different dimension thus ending the glorious age of mortals and immortals living together.
The immortals couldn't afford to open the gates to the Gods world fearing that the subordinates of the ancient emperor will set him free.
Thus the path to immortality was closed, the inhabitants of the 12 worlds were in despair but luckily the immortals showed mercy.
"Every century, the heavenly dao will be manifested into the form of the immortal crown, The individual who attain this crown will be allowed to gain true immortality and step foot into the Gods world" A divine decree resounded throughout the realms of the 12 worlds.
