Eric POV:
Once again, it was a chore getting to the monster, as there was no end to the monsters that came to challenge us. As they were weak, they only served to provide progress on my skills. But this was starting to get annoying. I had the feeling that as time went on, you would encounter more monsters as well. In any case, I had to be prepared for such circumstances.
Even with Chathis' help, it took us two hours to get to where we needed when it should've only been thirty minutes. Luckily, the monsters didn't require much, therefore, my mana would recover back quickly. I realized how fortunate that was, as we gazed on the high-level monster in front of us. Before us, was a pond, with fireflies blinking on and off slowly. Each light illuminated a huge horned black toad with white spots sitting on a lilypad.
