Lawson POV:
I awoke with a start, pain shooting throughout my entire body. Attempting to sit up, my body refuses as the pain increases.
Looking around, I find myself mangled in a tree, my leg bent in the opposite direction. Taking a deep breath, I yank my leg out of the branch it's stuck around which frees me.
My shortsightedness costs me, as I could have just gotten rid of the branch instead of yanking my leg. Plus, it just so happened to be the only thing holding me to the tree.
As I fall, hitting what felt like each branch on the way down, more pain assaults me.
When I hit the ground, I land on my arm which snaps it out of place as well, causing me to groan in pain.
Laying there with my vision swirling from the amount of pain I'm in, I try to remember how I even got in this situation. I remembered coming up with a brilliant plan that involved Eric, then finding his scent.
