Two weeks passed as I cultivated and trained without stopping for a rest, in this time I advanced to the 7th-level and then the 8th-level of the Body Refinement realm thanks to a large number of zombie souls I acquired beforehand.
During this time I also completely cleared the inside of the walls, all the debris from old buildings being thrown into a pile in a corner for later use when I will be able to use alchemy to turn them into something useful.
The inside of the house has also been cleared of all the decayed and broken furniture, those that were too broken being thrown into the pile of trash outside.
While this was happening I've been thinking, there must be humans outside, somewhere, and while reading the cultivation manual I understood one of the principles of this method of cultivation, the Solar Furnace Divine Cultivation is a cultivation method that relies upon the concept of the sun.
To achieve the greatest efficiency and power I need to become a 'sun', not literally, but figuratively, that is to become a leader that everyone follows, that everyone respects, to become the center of something, to be the greatest among everyone, to burn brightly while overshadowing everyone else, that is the concept of the 'sun' the cultivation manual portrays.
For that reason, I want followers and not fake ones who only follow me out of fear, but true followers that would die for me if necessary.
As a human, I would have never thought of this, but the Solar Dragon bloodline is affecting my mind more than expected, it must be from my fast cultivation, I'm not letting my advancements stabilize enough before advancing again, and my dragon blood has to keep up by integrating into my body more closely.
And that is not in mind only, my eyes have changed, now with draconic pupils, that is not bad though, as while I have the blood of a dragon I am not a dragon myself, and developing the eyes of a dragon without having to adopt the form of a dragon is quite lucky.
What this mutation has done is give me a much greater vision and perception of mana, now I can see sources of mana even through walls, and thanks to that I now can see where beings with souls are located through walls, the only thing able to escape my vision being robots or traps that don't use mana.
This is great as I never actually entered any building while patrolling outside the walls, the only time I got close to a building was to jump onto its roof, and that was when I saw the city center.
This is different now, I didn't get close to buildings because I didn't want to get bitten by a zombie without being able to evade, now that I'm at the 8th-level of Body Refinement a bite from a zombie won't even pierce my skin and I can punch myself an exit if needed.
I didn't fear a bite from a zombie before, as a cultivator mortal diseases don't affect my body, but it is best to be careful and not become a zombie, now that I'm much stronger than before I can explore more closely the surrounding buildings.
I might find some interesting things if the buildings aren't looted already.

I went to the roof of my house and scanned the surrounding buildings with my new draconic eyes, as I did so I saw many sources of mana inside them, all of them looked stagnant and decayed so they must be zombies.
I wasn't expecting any humans close to my location so I wasn't surprised when there were only zombies, it's better this way, I can advance before I have to introduce myself to my future followers, my instincts as a being with the bloodline of a dragon demand I have servants.

I was inside one of the buildings close to my house, from the outside it looked like some old store, it was full of zombies and it took some time to get rid of them all but when I did so I found something interesting.
Since coming to this world, which I think is also earth, I suspected that technology was more advanced than on earth, the vehicles and buildings look futuristic, and everything else looks futuristic too, the only thing that made me not confirm that this world had more advanced technology than earth is that I haven't found any working tech.
That changes now, behind some walls and under a large metallic box there is a staircase, this staircase leads to a metal door, the technology that I found?
The hologram that appeared when I got close to the door is the tech I found, it took the shape of a screen with a pulsating sphere inside and began to speak the moment I looked at it.
"Intruder, why are you here?" It spoke in an emotionless tone, as a robot would speak; I didn't answer and waited for the machine to continue.
"This is the Grand Archive, where knowledge is kept in case of an apocalypse, it has been 316 years since a human has entered, why are you here?" The voice continued to speak in a robotic voice, and as it talked I became more and more surprised; knowledge is kept in case of apocalypse it says?
"The apocalypse has already occurred long ago" As I said this the hologram flickered lightly, it was unexpected that this voice didn't know about the apocalypse already.
"Expected, show proof before proceeding" The voice this time didn't sound so robotic, it still sounded synthesized but there was a note of life within, not like the voice from before that sounded like a preprogrammed scam bot.
"Wait a moment," I said as I began heading outside, grabbing a zombie should be enough.
"Acceptable" It sounded from behind me as I headed up the stairs.
As I headed to the store I thought about the strangeness of this interaction, very suspicious I say, some among us may call it a trap, but I don't expect impostors in this situation, and remaining calm is always the best option.
