Chereads / The Werewolf in Him / Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Emily was doing some assignments when she heard a bang on the door. Someone was calling out her name.

'Emily'. It sounded really loud.

She wondered who it could be as she opened her door.

It was Jake.

What did he want?

'Jake… what's wrong?'.

Without saying anything, Jake stepped closer and wrapped his arms around her. Emily seemed taken aback for a moment, but then she melted into his embrace.

This was the first time in a long time someone had hugged her.

A warm hug.

It was warm and tight.

Jake felt her body. He just held her for what seemed to be 20 seconds but felt shorter to Emily.

He started stroking her hair.

After what seemed like hours, Emily finally stepped back and smiled weakly at him.

"Thank you," she whispered. "But I would like to know what happened?"

Jake smiled back and whispered, " I hadn't seen you for a while so I thought you had gone missing".

It was a lie but that was the best Jake could think of at the moment. He had come to check if something had happened to her but instead, he got to hug her and it seemed like he had given her a little bit of assurance.

Nice work, Jake.

Emily felt great after the hug and invited him over for a snack. She told him about her incident yesterday. How a creature saved her.

"How did it look?". Jake asked. Wondering if he had seen the creature while he was stalking her that evening or if the creature had attacked her.

"I didn't get to see its face but it was hairy and huge and I think it had feet like a dog" she blurted out.

"A dog? ". Jake paused. He had heard that kind of story from a stranger when he came into town. The story of a dog-like person who goes around attacking people.

Jake had gone to a local store to get some painkillers when he heard the story. He saw an old man with some other old men.

The old man sat in the corner of the room, his aged hands gripping his walking stick tightly. He had a faraway look in his eyes, and the people around him knew he was about to tell one of his stories.

The old man cleared his throat and began. "Long ago, in this city, lived a creature. He was a terrifying creature, and he roamed the countryside at night, attacking anyone he encountered. He preyed on the innocent, the good and the bad alike, and no one was safe from his wrath.

"The villagers were so afraid of this beast that they locked themselves in their homes at night and barred their windows. Even during the day, they were too scared to venture out.

"One night, the creature was stalking the forest near the village when he came across a young boy. He lunged at the boy, but the boy's father rushed in and threw himself in front of the creature's claws. The creature backed away in shock, and the father managed to save his son.

"The creature stared at the man for a long moment before finally turning and disappearing into the night. From that day on, the villagers were safe from the creature, and no one ever saw him again.

The old man's voice trailed off, and the room was silent. After a moment, someone spoke up. "That was a great story. Thank you for sharing it with us."

The old man smiled and nodded. "It's good to remember that no matter how powerful the monsters are, we can still prevail over them. Be brave, and never give up." That was how he ended the conversation.

This dog-like creature, could it be a werewolf?

Wait.

Was it a werewolf that saved Emily?

Was it the same werewolf?

Jake wondered as Emily kept recounting her story. She seemed different from the day she ran from him in the elevator. At Least she was livelier.

Emily had tried so hard not to look at Jake's body while telling him about yesterday but she just couldn't. And Jake was making matters worse. He kept smiling at her. Ugh. This was going to be hard.

Just as she was explaining, she couldn't help but drift away in thought about his broad shoulders. His body looked like it was carved out of stone. Was it the same stone Superman was carved out of?

Rock-solid hard? Damn!.

She had finished her story and this time, Jake did the talking. She watched as his mouth moved. Just for a minute, Emily imagined what those lips could do.

If she and he were to make love, just as she read in these romance novels, how would it be?

Would there be passionate lip movement between them like a spark that would light the fire of their desire?

Would his lips lightly brush hers, savoring the sweet taste of her mouth as he nibbled and kissed her hungrily?

Would his hands explore her body, tracing her curves and letting his fingertips linger.?

Would she reciprocate his affection, pressing her body against his and letting out a soft moan of pleasure as he deepened the kiss?

Would the sensations of their bodies interlock and melt into one?

With each movement Jake made, the intensity of the moment grew as Emily felt tempted to give in to her imagined passion.

She imagined his hands moving to her lower back, pulling her closer as their tongues danced.

Would his lips be moving from her mouth to her neck, eliciting a shiver of pleasure from her?

What if their movements grew more urgent, their breathing more labored?

Imagine him grabbing her waist and lifting her, their eyes locking as she wrapped her legs around his body.

His hands would move to her hips and he would push her against the wall.

She was sure she would cling to him and her body would tremble with anticipation.

She was sure he would move her in a slow, circular motion as their passion culminated in the ultimate act of love.

And as their bodies connected and their souls intertwined, they both would reach the peak of pleasure, and the intensity of their lovemaking would be palpable.

Halfway through her thoughts, Jake brought her back to reality.

"Emily".

"Hey!... Emily, you alright?"

"Yeah… .yes.. why did you ask?".

"Well. I asked for a glass of water about three minutes ago and you just stared at me ever since".

"Ummm. Ughmm.. Well. I was thinking of what would have happened if the hairy creature didn't show up". She lied. She weighed her options. This lie was better to say than get caught with such thoughts for Jake.

"Yeah, thank Goodness he showed up. You gotta be safe though. I heard he attacks both good and bad people. What if he attacks you next". Jake wondered.

" He won't. I know he won't"
