Rueben stalked the halls with just a sword bloodied with the countless beasts that he had killed since coming here. He looked around in sheer ferocity as he grabbed a rock and threw it to a beast, who noticed him and pounced at him before he sliced it into 3 pieces.
He wiped his bloodied face with his palm and looked around with his red eyes, looking for another prey to kill.
His body was utterly exhausted, his whole mind shut down and it was a wonder how he managed to move.
Well, I'll tell you.
Beasts have God's Blood flowing through their veins, such beasts were a perfect meal for the bloodthirsty Rueben. He had been drinking their blood and eating their flesh, making all the exhaustion go away, healing his body, in return, it only made him more twisted than ever.
Madness has fully consumed him.
He knew that the being was playing Hide and Seek, and he was IT, he was the Seeker of this game.
From the endless hallways and rooms that he had been slowly walking in, he did not know how much time had passed.
He looked at his hand as he clenched it. "Why am I still conscious? I am sure that I have went through the Blood Drunk state and should be mindlessly killing anything that moves."
He then looked at his sword and screamed, "So why am I still conscious!!?"
He growled and stabbed another beast that came to pounce on him. He then grabbed it by its neck and tore its spine off its body in one single fluid movement. The darkness made the entire sight not that gruesome.
It was pitch black after all.
But Rueben could see clearly in the dark as if he had night vision or something.
Rueben stomped the Beast's head and it splattered into bits and brain matter started oozing out of it.
He clicked his tongue and opened a door to the right, it led him into a large dungeon like room filled with chains and other torture tools and materials.
Within the room was a doll chained, he looked at the doll and grabbed it by its waist. "Another one. Where were you when Sara was still with me? She would've been happy to see one of her friends."
The doll looked at him expressionlessly and opened its mouth to speak, "Sara? You know her? Where is she?"
Rueben looked at the doll and said, "Dead."
"…"
The doll looked at him with little to no expression and softly said, "Dead again, huh… Then who might you be, mister?"
Looking at the doll silently, he opened his mouth to speak but he was curious about what the doll had said previously, "What do you mean by 'dead again'?"
His eyes narrowed into a slit in suspicion.
He knew that Sara must have been revived by whatever was trapping her inside here, judging from the countless dead bodies inside that room. She must've repeatedly been tortured to play hide and seek with the being for god know how long.
The doll then sighed and said, "At first it was the 6 of us. We were trapped here as the being told us to find her. Then Jun became a doll and there were only 5 of us left. Soon, Jamaica turned into a doll as well. Then Hershey, me, and Annatella."
Now knowing more information about this place, he wanted more, if he could more info then he might have a chance to kill that being.
"Okay, then what about Sara?"
"Sara was the being's favorite. There were occasionally times where the being protected her infront of us. Though she would receive a painful death after that. I could not understand why the being would protect Sara despite cursing us to live again endlessly before she turned us into dolls."
Rueben's eyes narrowed, he had even more suspicions and questions that needed answers. "You seem more mature than the others."
The dolls eyes rolled and said, "I am. I was the eldest of them all, also the one with the most deaths. I am also a bit of a scientist myself and knows some information about the Beast and Monster as well as the effects of the God's Blood that humans could gain when it enters their bloodstream. Do you know that it can strengthen you physically and also spiritually? God's blood is an essential ingredient for humanity to transcend…"
Hearing that he was about to go on about some speech about transcending to a new plane of existence and abandoning mortality, he stopped him right there. He had heard this kind of thing from the monsters that he had killed countless times already, he wouldn't want to hear it again.
"Then what do you mean by "She"? IS the being a woman? But that cannot be, I had seen that it had a form but was not like that of a human or an animal. Like ink…"
The doll nodded its head, "It is ink. Do not limit your imagination to logic and science. There are far more things in the universe that we can't understand or wish to comprehend with our level of existence. I also do not understand how a form made out of ink has a biological sex. But she had always told us that she was Female, not Male."
The doll the asked, "I think you have gone blood drunk. Red Eyes is a major sign of it after all."
Rueben nodded his head.
"Though it seemed that you still had retain your sanity and humanity. That is weird because people with who went Blood Drunk loses their Humanity and evolves into Beasts or Monsters."
"I do not understand either. Maybe something is holding my body back from transforming into a Beast or Monster?" Rueben sighed.
Tiredness could be heard in his voice. The doll looked at him then remembered a certain memory.
"Well, our conversation ends here. I think I should be making you see the memory within me. Also, seek out Hershey and Annatella, they both have the information about the being and the entire map of this labyrinth. Also, if Sara has no yet turned into a doll, then…"
The doll hesitated for a moment as if he was thinking of something important.
He even closed his eyes before opening them again as if he had made a decision.
"Promise me that if Sara is not turned into a doll, then please let her out of this place. Let her live a great life on the outside."
Rueben looked at him, now that he knew that Sara would revive endlessly in this place, the anger in his heart faded a little but it didn't disappear.
He was glad that Sara could still live. He nodded his head and promised the doll.
Then a screen appeared infront of him and he immersed himself into the memory.
