The female locked my legs the moment I finished eating. She had me focus on her, not knowing she intended to lock me back.
“What are you doing!” I tried to fight against her hold, but found out I couldn't. My body felt weaker than it was before I ate the food.
“What did you do to me?” I fell on the bed.
“Sleep, you will need it.” She carried the tray from the bed, and smiled, “The master will be back soon.”
“What—”
I tried to fight the hold of whatever it was she put in my food, but found out I wasn't able to.
My eyes closed by themselves, and before long, I was soundly sleeping.
**********
I woke up to an unfamiliar sound.
I slowly opened my eyes.
“Who's there?” I tried to rise from the bed, but couldn't.
“You are finally awake.”
The creature walked towards me. He was now putting on an all-black.
“What are you doing here? Let me go!” I sat up on the bed and levelled a glare at him.
“You want to leave? There is only one way out of here.” He held my jaw in his hand and forced me to look into his eyes.
“Let me go!” I slap his hand off my jaw.
“How dare you!” He took my jaw in his hand and tightened his hold on me. It felt as if he was ready to snap my jaw in two.
His eyes turned blood-red. It was as if there were blood falling from his eyes.
“Do you think you can act any way you want, human?”
Unexpectedly, he threw me down to the floor.
The only thing that prevented my head from hitting the floor, was the hand I wedged the fall with.
“Pathetic human.” He narrowed his eyes at me, “do you think you can do anything you wanted?” He knelt in front of me.
“I can do anything I want, you stupid creature! I'm princess Star—” I slapped his face. “Wait until I—”
The words in my throat froze in my throat when he circled his hand around my neck and pressed tighter.
I struggled against his hold as I tried to get him to release me, but it was to no avail.
The more I fought against him, the tighter his hold became.
“You will learn your stance, human.”
I struggled against his hold until my breath ceased.
Just when I thought I was about to give up on the life, he released his hold on my neck.
“Learn your place, Human.” He stood up from his kneeling position and frowned down at me.
I gasped as I tried to catch my breath. It felt as if someone put my head underwater for a long time.
“Pathetic,” He narrowed his eyes at me.
“If—” I took a deep, steady, breath. “If you find me pathetic, let me go.” I tried to sound as confident and as bold as the Starlight who left her Kingdom a day ago, but the shaking in my voice prevented me from doing just that.
“You are pathetic.” He only spared me a glance before he left the room.
That night, I slept in a corner of the room. The only place the chains can allow me to reach was a corner of the room.
And that was where I slept until morning.
The creature didn't make an appearance, but I can hear the distant howls of animals from a distance.
“Good morning, miss.” The maid walked into the room. She glanced at me before she walked into the bathroom.
And, like yesterday, she helped me have my bath.
“Have your meal. Master will be back before noon.”
Unlike yesterday, she didn't unlock the chains my legs were tied with. She only had to drag the bed a bit, to enable me to walk into the bathroom with the chains.
“Where does your master go all the time?” I frown at her.
“Somewhere.” She dropped the tray of food in front of me, “I'm going out to get something.” She left the tray of food in front of me and walked out of the room.
“Fool.”
I took the fork and hid it, but I didn't touch the food.
The one I ate yesterday made me sleep for a long time. I don't trust this one not to do the same to me, today.
I sat near the bed and lowered my head while I patiently await the presence of the stupid creature.
Who knows what father is doing now?
Are they aware of my absence?
Will he deploy soldiers to look for me?
I didn't sit on the floor for long before the creature made an appearance.
He opened the door and strode into the room as if he owns it.
Wait.
Who am I kidding?
Of course, he owns the place.
“You haven't eaten your meal?” He knelt in front of me and forced me to look up at him.
“What does it matter?” I narrow my eyes at him. “Let me go, you monster.”
Although he hasn't tried to bite my neck as he did that night, I can't forget the pain I went through.
“Monster?” He tightened his hold on my jaws. “I will show you what a monster is capable of.” He made to bite my neck as he has always done, but I brought out the fork I hid, and stabbed him on the back with it.
He caught my hand with his right hand and slapped me on my cheeks.
The pain from the slap caused my head to turn to the side.
He didn't stop at that. He dragged me up from the floor with his hand around my neck.
His blood-red eyes locked onto mine. But that wasn't what caught my attention. His elongated teeth were what caught my attention.
It was as sharp as a kitchen knife, and it gleaned.
I struggled, but instead of helping me, it made his hold tighter. It caused my breath to cease, and my eyes to water.
“Pathetic.”
