Sarah stood there with a confused expression, as if Lucas had asked her the most obvious question.
"What do you mean? Aren't I supposed to bring him back if given a chance?" she asked calmly.
Lucas was taken aback. He could sense her genuine emotions—she truly believed it was the most natural thing to do.
"It's not normal to bring a dead person back, is it?" Lucas asked.
"Hmm… not in this world, it isn't. Are you going to stop me?" Sandra asked, her brows furrowing into a frown.
"Never," Lucas said slowly, and before Sandra could respond, he added, "But if the moment comes when you're able to bring your brother back and it feels like the wrong this to do, or if it puts others in danger, I'll stop you with everything I have. Got it?" His face was serious, his tone firm.
Though the conversation seemed like a child sharing a naive dream, Sandra was right—in this world, almost anything was possible.
